A Mobile Detector for Muon Measurements Based on Two Different Techniques
B. Mitrica,D. Stanca,M. Petcu,I.M. Brancus,Romul Margineanu,A. Apostu,Claudia Gomoiu,A. Saftoiu,G. Toma,H. Rebel,A. Haungs,Octavian Sima,Alexandru Gherghel-Lascu,M. Niculescu-Oglinzanu +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a mobile detector for cosmic muon flux measurements has been set up at IFIN-HH, Romania, where the detector is composed of two 1m2 scintillator plates, each viewed by wave length shifters and read out by two Photomultiplier Tubes (PMTs).
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of cosmic ray muons with the WILLI detector compared with the predictions of theoretical models and with semi-analytical formulae
B. Mitrica,M. Petcu,A. Saftoiu,I.M. Brancus,Octavian Sima,H. Rebel,A. Haungs,G. Toma,M. Duma +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the WILLI detector, built in IFIN-HH, Bucharest, is used to measure the muon flux at low energy and charge ratio at high energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The constant intensity cut method is a very useful tool to reconstruct the cosmic ray energy spectrum in order to combine or compare extensive air shower data measured for different attenuation depths independently of the MC model as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Schröder,Octavian Sima,G. Toma,G.C. Trinchero,H. Ulrich,A. Weindl,J. Wochele,J. Zabierowski +54 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the attenuation lengths of the muon number and the charged number of particles of EAS in the atmosphere were extracted from the KASCADE-Grande data and the results were compared with the predictions of the new EPOS-LHC hadronic-interaction model.
