TL;DR: This article showed that anthropogenic perturbation may have increased the flux of carbon to inland waters by as much as 1.0 Pg C yr−1 since pre-industrial times, mainly owing to enhanced carbon export from soils.

Comparison of bioclogging effects in saturated porous media within one- and two-dimensional flow systems
TL;DR: In this article, the experimental results obtained for one-and two-dimensional flow fields and compared the modeling results obtained using different conceptualizations of the pore space are presented. But, the results of these studies are not straight-forward to extrapolate them to multidimensional flow fields.
