Time Resolved Investigation of Fast Phase- Change Phenomena in Rewritable Optical Recording Media

TL;DR: This chapter will describe the challenge of the atomic level research for the fast phasechange mechanism of the DVD materials via X-ray pinpoint structural measurement, which is the state-of-the-art synchrotron radiation (SR) materials-analysis techniques developed at SPring-8.
Journal Article

Extended Charge-Transfer State of RbMn[Fe(CN)_6](Condensed matter: structure and mechanical and thermal properties)

TL;DR: Based on the maximum entropy method (MEM) charge density, this article visualized the electrostatic potential of a charge transfer compound, RbMn[Fe(CN) 6 ], which shows the charge transfer transition from the nominal Mn 2+ -Fe 3+ configuration to the Mn 3+ −Fe 2+ one below 220 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polarization study of non-resonant X-ray magnetic scattering from spin-density-wave modulation in chromium

TL;DR: In this paper, a polarization study of non-resonant X-ray magnetic scattering in pure chromium is presented, where satellite reflections are observed at ± Q and ± 2 Q, where Q is the modulation wave vector of an itinerant spin-density-wave.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid Structures of Metallic Glass-forming Binary Zr Alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed liquid structures of the binary Zr-TM (TM=Pd, Cu, Ni) alloys as a function of composition to investigate relations with their glass-forming abilities.
