Journal ArticleDOI

Rates of bacterial co-infections and antimicrobial use in COVID-19 patients: a retrospective cohort study in light of antibiotic stewardship.

TL;DR: Bacterial and fungal co-infections are rare in COVID-19 patients and are mainly prevalent in critically ill patients and the most commonly used antibiotic regimen was ampicillin/sulbactam, which could help in optimising the management of CO VID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI

Change in Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction Following First Myocardial Infarction and Outcome

TL;DR: The degree of LVEF recovery after a first MI provides important prognostic information and re-assessment beyond 6 weeks post-MI were more predictive of outcome than were earlier reassessments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prediction of mortality benefit based on periodic repolarisation dynamics in patients undergoing prophylactic implantation of a defibrillator: a prospective, controlled, multicentre cohort study

Axel Bauer, +97 more
- 12 Oct 2019 -
TL;DR: periodic repolarisation dynamics predict mortality reductions associated with prophylactic implantation of ICDs in contemporarily treated patients with ischaemic or non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy and could help to guide treatment decisions about prophyllactic ICD implantation.
