Methods and systems for real-time structured light depth extraction and endoscope using real-time structured light depth extraction
TL;DR: In this paper, a real-time structured light depth extraction system includes a projector for projecting structured light patterns onto an object of interest, and a camera positioned off-axis from the projector samples light reflected from the object synchronously with the projection of structured light pattern and outputs digital signals indicative of the reflected light.

TL;DR: Using an integrated multidisciplinary biopsy program, it is demonstrated that real-time genomic characterization of advanced PDAC can identify clinically relevant alterations that inform management of this difficult disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
A randomized controlled trial of the impact of targeted and tailored interventions on colorectal cancer screening.
Ronald E. Myers,Randa Sifri,Terry Hyslop,Michael H. Rosenthal,Sally W. Vernon,James Cocroft,Thomas Wolf,Jocelyn Andrel,Richard C. Wender +8 more
TL;DR: Whether targeted and tailored interventions can increase screening use of colorectal cancer screening is underutilized is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Augmented reality guidance for needle biopsies: an initial randomized, controlled trial in phantoms.
Michael H. Rosenthal,Andrei State,Joohi Lee,Gentaro Hirota,Jeremy D. Ackerman,Kurtis Keller,Etta D. Pisano,Michael R. Jiroutek,Keith E. Muller,Henry Fuchs +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a randomized, controlled trial was conducted to compare the accuracy of standard ultrasound-guided needle biopsy to biopsies performed using a 3D Augmented Reality (AR) guidance system.

Augmented Reality Guidance for Needle Biopsies: A Randomized, Controlled Trial in Phantoms
Michael H. Rosenthal,Andrei State,Joohi Lee,Gentaro Hirota,Jeremy D. Ackerman,Kurtis Keller,Etta D. Pisano,Michael R. Jiroutek,Keith E. Muller,Henry Fuchs +9 more
TL;DR: The results of a randomized, controlled tnal to compare the accuracy of standard ultrasound-guided needle biopsy to biopsies performed using a 3D Augmented Reality (AR) guidance system suggest that AR systems can offer improved accuracy over traditional biopsy guidance methods.
