Ann E. Hajek,Brett Phillip Hurley,Marc Kenis,Jeffrey R. Garnas,Samantha J. Bush,Michael J. Wingfield,Joop C. van Lenteren,Matthew J.W. Cock +7 more
TL;DR: International guidelines, national regulations and scientific methods being used for exotic natural enemies in biological control have changed to require appropriate specificity testing, risk assessment and regulatory oversight before exotic natural Enemies can be released.

Differentiation of Fusarium subglutinans f. sp. pini by histone gene sequence data.
Emma Theodora Steenkamp,Brenda D. Wingfield,Teresa A. Coutinho,Michael J. Wingfield,W. F. O. Marasas +4 more
TL;DR: A PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism technique is developed that reliably distinguishes F. pini from other isolates identified as F. subglutinans from the other biological species in the G. fujikuroi species complex.
Lasiodiplodia gonubiensis sp. nov., a new Botryosphaeria anamorph from native Syzygium cordatum in South Africa
TL;DR: Compared with other species of Botryosphaeria using morphological characteristics and DNA sequence data of the rDNA internal transcribed spacers, ITS1 and ITS2, it is concluded that the isolates from S. cordatum represent an undescribed Lasiodiplodia sp.

Speciation and distribution of Botryosphaeria spp. on native and introduced Eucalyptus trees in Australia and South Africa
Bernard Slippers,Gerda Fourie,Pedro W. Crous,Teresa A. Coutinho,Brenda D. Wingfield,Angus J. Carnegie,Michael J. Wingfield +6 more
TL;DR: Data from the present study provide the first holistic overview of the species of Botryosphaeria associated with Eucalyptus in both native and exotic environments.
