Journal ArticleDOI

Confirmation of Rubella within 4 Days of Rash Onset: Comparison of Rubella Virus RNA Detection in Oral Fluid with Immunoglobulin M Detection in Serum or Oral Fluid

TL;DR: RT-PCR testing of oral fluid confirmed more rubella cases than IgM testing of either serum or oral fluid samples collected in the first 2 days after rash onset; the maximum number of confirmations of rubella Cases was obtained by combining RT-PCRs and serology testing.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-throughput assay optimization and statistical interpolation of rubella-specific neutralizing antibody titers

TL;DR: This assay, including the statistical methods developed, can be used to assess the neutralizing humoral immune response to rubella virus and may be adaptable for assessing the response to other viral vaccines and infectious agents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of Persistent Rubella Virus With Idiopathic Skin Granulomas in Clinically Immunocompetent Adults.

TL;DR: The case series study results suggest that RuV (vaccine derived and wild type) can persist for years in cutaneousgranulomas in clinically immunocompetent adults and is associated with atypical (palisaded and necrotizing type) chronic cutaneous granulomas.
