Journal ArticleDOI
A family of zeolites with controlled pore size prepared using a top-down method
Wieslaw J. Roth,Petr Nachtigall,Russell E. Morris,Paul S. Wheatley,Valerie R. Seymour,Sharon E. Ashbrook,Pavla Chlubná,Lukáš Grajciar,Miroslav Položij,Arnošt Zukal,Oleksiy V. Shvets,Jiří Čejka +11 more
TL;DR: A top-down strategy that involves the disassembly of a parent zeolite, UTL, and its reassembly into two zeolites with targeted topologies, I PC-2 and IPC-4 is reported, enabling the synthesis of materials with predetermined pore architectures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of 'unfeasible' zeolites.
Michal Mazur,Paul S. Wheatley,Marta Navarro,Wieslaw J. Roth,Miroslav Položij,Alvaro Mayoral,Pavla Eliášová,Petr Nachtigall,Jiří Čejka,Russell E. Morris +9 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of two 'unfeasible' zeolites are demonstrated through the assembly-disassembly-organization-reassembly mechanism, which opens up the possibility of preparing other zeolite materials that have not been accessible by traditional solvothermal synthetic methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of quinolines via Friedländer reaction catalyzed by CuBTC metal–organic-framework
Elena Pérez-Mayoral,Zuzana Musilová,Barbara Gil,Bartosz Marszalek,Miroslav Položij,Petr Nachtigall,Jiri Cejka +6 more
TL;DR: Results reported here make CuBTC a promising catalyst for other Lewis acid-promoted condensations, including those leading to biologically active compounds with a particular relevance for the pharmaceutical industry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly Crystalline and Semiconducting Imine-Based Two-Dimensional Polymers Enabled by Interfacial Synthesis
Hafeesudeen Sahabudeen,Haoyuan Qi,Haoyuan Qi,Marco Ballabio,Miroslav Položij,Selina Olthof,Rishi Shivhare,Yu Jing,SangWook Park,Kejun Liu,Tao Zhang,Ji Ma,Bernd Rellinghaus,Stefan C. B. Mannsfeld,Thomas Heine,Mischa Bonn,Enrique Cánovas,Enrique Cánovas,Zhikun Zheng,Ute Kaiser,Renhao Dong,Xinliang Feng +21 more
TL;DR: A surfactant‐monolayer‐assisted interfacial synthesis (SMAIS) method is employed for the successful preparation of porphyrin and triazine containing polyimine‐based 2D polymer (PI‐2DP) films with square and hexagonal lattices, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assembly–Disassembly–Organization–Reassembly Synthesis of Zeolites Based on cfi-Type Layers
Daniel Firth,Samuel A. Morris,Paul S. Wheatley,Samantha E. Russell,Alexandra M. Z. Slawin,Daniel M. Dawson,Alvaro Mayoral,Maksym Opanasenko,Maksym Opanasenko,Miroslav Položij,Jiří Čejka,Petr Nachtigall,Russell E. Morris,Russell E. Morris +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a zeolite called SAZ-1 was successfully prepared and used as a parent in the assembly-disassembly-organization-reassembly (ADOR) process.
