Glutathione Primes T Cell Metabolism for Inflammation
Tak W. Mak,Tak W. Mak,Melanie Grusdat,Gordon S. Duncan,Catherine Dostert,Yannic Nonnenmacher,Yannic Nonnenmacher,Maureen A. Cox,Carole Binsfeld,Zhenyue Hao,Zhenyue Hao,Anne Brüstle,Momoe Itsumi,Christian Jäger,Ying Chen,Olaf Pinkenburg,Bärbel Camara,Markus Ollert,Carsten Bindslev-Jensen,Vasilis Vasiliou,Chiara Gorrini,Philipp A. Lang,Michael Lohoff,Isaac S. Harris,Karsten Hiller,Karsten Hiller,Dirk Brenner +26 more
TL;DR: It is reported that GSH is essential for T cell effector functions through its regulation of metabolic activity and plays an unexpected role in metabolic integration and reprogramming during inflammatory T cell responses.
Journal ArticleDOI
D-2-hydroxyglutarate produced by mutant IDH1 perturbs collagen maturation and basement membrane function.
Masato Sasaki,Christiane B. Knobbe,Christiane B. Knobbe,Momoe Itsumi,Andrew J. Elia,Isaac S. Harris,Isaac S. Harris,Iok In Christine Chio,Iok In Christine Chio,Rob A. Cairns,Susan McCracken,Andrew Wakeham,Jillian Haight,Annick You Ten,Bryan E. Snow,Takeshi Ueda,Satoshi Inoue,Kazuo Yamamoto,Myunggon Ko,Anjana Rao,Katharine E. Yen,Shinsan M. Su,Tak W. Mak,Tak W. Mak +23 more
TL;DR: Strong in vivo evidence is presented that the D2HG produced by the mutant Idh1 enzyme is responsible for the above effects, which led to basement membrane aberrations that could play a part in glioma progression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of CD25+ γδ T Cells As Fetal Thymus-Derived Naturally Occurring IL-17 Producers
TL;DR: It was revealed that the fetal thymus-derived Vγ6+Vδ1+ T cells functionally differentiate to produce IL-17 within thymu and thereafter express CD25 to be maintained in the periphery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunotherapy for Renal Cell Carcinoma
Momoe Itsumi,Katsunori Tatsugami +1 more
TL;DR: The authors outline the principles of cell-mediated tumor immunotherapy and discuss clinical trials of immunotherapy for RCC, and discuss the importance of immune regulation by antigen-presenting cells and regulatory T cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mule/Huwe1/Arf-BP1 suppresses Ras-driven tumorigenesis by preventing c-Myc/Miz1-mediated down-regulation of p21 and p15
Satoshi Inoue,Zhenyue Hao,Andrew J. Elia,David W. Cescon,Lily Zhou,Jennifer Silvester,Bryan E. Snow,Isaac S. Harris,Masato Sasaki,Wanda Y. Li,Momoe Itsumi,Kazuo Yamamoto,Takeshi Ueda,Carmen Dominguez-Brauer,Chiara Gorrini,Iok In Christine Chio,Jillian Haight,Annick You-Ten,Susan McCracken,Andrew Wakeham,Danny Ghazarian,Linda Z. Penn,Gerry Melino,Gerry Melino,Tak W. Mak +24 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated in vivo that Mule suppresses Ras-mediated tumorigenesis by preventing an accumulation of c-Myc/Miz1 complexes that mediates p21 and p15 down-regulation.
