Journal ArticleDOI
Photoinduced Melting of Antiferromagnetic Order in La0.5Sr1.5MnO4 Measured Using Ultrafast Resonant Soft X-Ray Diffraction
Henri Ehrke,Ra'anan Tobey,Ra'anan Tobey,Simon Wall,Simon Wall,Stuart A. Cavill,Michael Först,Vikaran Khanna,Thomas Garl,N. Stojanovic,D. Prabhakaran,Andrew T. Boothroyd,Michael Gensch,Alessandro Mirone,Pascal Reutler,A. Revcolevschi,Sarnjeet S. Dhesi,Andrea Cavalleri,Andrea Cavalleri +18 more
TL;DR: The results of ultrafast resonant soft x-ray diffraction are interpreted as evidence of destabilization in the short-range exchange pattern with no significant relaxation of the long-range Jahn-Teller distortions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Probing ultra-fast processes with high dynamic range at 4th-generation light sources: Arrival time and intensity binning at unprecedented repetition rates
Sergey Kovalev,Bertram Green,Torsten Golz,Sebastian F. Maehrlein,N. Stojanovic,Alan Fisher,Tobias Kampfrath,Michael Gensch +7 more
TL;DR: This article presents the successful demonstration of ultra-fast accelerator-laser pump-probe experiments performed at an unprecedentedly high repetition rate in the few-hundred-kHz regime and with a currently achievable optimal time resolution of 13 fs (rms).
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlated electronic decay in expanding clusters triggered by intense XUV pulses from a Free-Electron-Laser
Tim Oelze,Bernd Schütte,Maria Müller,Jan P. Müller,Marek Wieland,Ulrike Frühling,Markus Drescher,A. Al-Shemmary,Torsten Golz,N. Stojanovic,Maria Krikunova +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that CED-electrons are emitted at least a few picoseconds after the ionizing XUV pulse has ended, which suggests that this process is of general relevance for the relaxation dynamics in laser produced nanoplasmas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast multi-cycle terahertz measurements of the electrical conductivity in strongly excited solids.
Zhijiang Chen,Chandra Curry,Chandra Curry,R. Zhang,F. Treffert,F. Treffert,N. Stojanovic,Sven Toleikis,Rui Pan,Maxence Gauthier,Ekaterina Zapolnova,Lars Seipp,Lars Seipp,Anthea Weinmann,Anthea Weinmann,Mianzhen Mo,J. B. Kim,B. B. L. Witte,B. B. L. Witte,Saša Bajt,Sergey Usenko,Sergey Usenko,Regina Soufli,T. Pardini,Stefan P. Hau-Riege,Catherine Burcklen,J. Schein,Ronald Redmer,Ying Y. Tsui,Benjamin K. Ofori-Okai,S. H. Glenzer +30 more
TL;DR: In this article, a multi-cycle terahertz radiation with a single-shot electro-optic sampling technique was used to measure the electrical conductivity of gold foils strongly heated by free-electron laser.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Interaction of intense ultrashort XUV pulses with silicon
Ryszard Sobierajski,Dorota Klinger,Marek Jurek,Jerzy B. Pelka,Libor Juha,J. Chalupský,J. Cihelka,V. Hakova,L. Vysin,U. Jastrow,N. Stojanovic,Sven Toleikis,H. Wabnitz,Jacek Krzywinski,S. Hau-Reige,Richard A. London +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, single shot radiation damage of bulk silicon induced by ultrashort XUV pulses was studied and permanent structural modifications of the surfaces exposed to single shots were characterized by means of phase contrast optical microscopy and atomic force microscopy.
