Journal ArticleDOI
Olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions as a clinical presentation of mild-to-moderate forms of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19): a multicenter European study.
Jerome R. Lechien,Carlos M. Chiesa-Estomba,Daniele R De Siati,Mihaela Horoi,Serge D Le Bon,Alexandra Rodriguez,Didier Dequanter,Serge Blecic,Fahd El Afia,Lea Distinguin,Younes Chekkoury-Idrissi,Stéphane Hans,Irene Lopez Delgado,Christian Calvo-Henriquez,Philippe Lavigne,Chiara Falanga,Maria Rosaria Barillari,Giovanni Cammaroto,Mohamad Khalife,Pierre Leich,Christel Souchay,Camelia Rossi,Fabrice Journe,Julien Hsieh,Myriam Edjlali,Myriam Edjlali,Robert Carlier,Laurence Ris,Andrea Lovato,Cosimo de Filippis,Frédérique Coppée,Nicolas Fakhry,Tareck Ayad,Sven Saussez +33 more
TL;DR: Olfactory and gustatory disorders are prevalent symptoms in European CO VID-19 patients, who may not have nasal symptoms, and the sudden anosmia or ageusia need to be recognized by the international scientific community as important symptoms of the COVID-19 infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and epidemiological characteristics of 1420 European patients with mild-to-moderate coronavirus disease 2019.
Jerome R. Lechien,Carlos M. Chiesa-Estomba,Sammy Place,Yves Van Laethem,Pierre Cabaraux,Quentin Mat,Kathy Huet,Jan Plzak,Mihaela Horoi,Stéphane Hans,Maria Rosaria Barillari,Giovanni Cammaroto,Nicolas Fakhry,Delphine Martiny,Tareck Ayad,Lionel Jouffe,Claire Hopkins,Sven Saussez,Sven Saussez +18 more
TL;DR: The clinical presentation of European patients with mild‐to‐moderate COVID‐19 infection is still unknown and further research is needed to determine the cause of death.
Journal ArticleDOI
18F-FDG Avidity of Pheochromocytomas and Paragangliomas: A New Molecular Imaging Signature?
David Taïeb,Frederic Sebag,Anne Barlier,Laurent Tessonnier,Fausto Palazzo,Isabelle Morange,Patricia Niccoli-Sire,Nicolas Fakhry,Catherine De Micco,Serge Cammilleri,Alain Enjalbert,Jean-François Henry,Olivier Mundler +12 more
TL;DR: 18F-FDG PET positivity is almost a constant feature of pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas and may be considered a molecular signature of such tumors, although which aspect of the plethora of molecular changes associated with dedifferentiation, germline genetic defects, or the adaptive response to hypoxia is responsible for this characteristic requires further elucidation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular genetic study comparing follicular variant versus classic papillary thyroid carcinomas: association of N-ras mutation in codon 61 with follicular variant.
Julie Di Cristofaro,Myriam Marcy,Vasily Vasko,Frederic Sebag,Nicolas Fakhry,David Wynford-Thomas,Catherine De Micco +6 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that ras mutation correlates with follicular differentiation of thyroid tumors whereas ret activation is associated with papillary nuclei but not with Papillary architecture.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prospective comparison of (68)Ga-DOTATATE and (18)F-FDOPA PET/CT in patients with various pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas with emphasis on sporadic cases
Aurélien Archier,Arthur Varoquaux,Philippe Garrigue,Marion Montava,Carole Guerin,Sophie Gabriel,Eva Beschmout,Isabelle Morange,Nicolas Fakhry,Frederic Castinetti,Frederic Sebag,Anne Barlier,Anderson Loundou,Benjamin Guillet,Karel Pacak,David Taïeb +15 more
TL;DR: 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT is the most sensitive tool in the detection of HNPGLs, especially SDHD-related tumors, which may be very small and fail to concentrate sufficient 18F-FDOPA.
