Path-following Approach to Control Effort Reduction of Tracking Feedback Laws

TL;DR: This work develops a path-following algorithm for redesign of tracking feedback laws to reduce the control effort, applicable to feedback linearizable systems with stable zero dynamics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Subsystems, Time Scales and Multimodeling

TL;DR: In this article, the role of modeling in the study of large scale dynamic systems is examined and control theorists are invited to reexamine the role and role of modelling in large scale systems.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Approximate Decoupling of Regularly Perturbed Nonlinear Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that with small iterative corrections on the decoupling controller for the unperturbed system, they can achieve decoupled tracking within 0(E k) error where k is the order of the iteration, even when the regular perturbation makes the system nonminimum phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Weak connections, time scales, and aggregation of nonlinear systems

TL;DR: If nonlinear subsystems with continuous equilibria are weakly connected, their local behavior is fast compared with the system-wide behavior caused by the connections, and an aggregate model which appears as a slow subsystem in the singular perturbation form of the model is described.
