Compact SiPM based detector module for time-of-flight PET/MR

TL;DR: In this paper, a compact detector module for γ detection in the PET part of a simultaneous ToF-PET/MR system is presented, which is composed of a stack of three PCBs of identical size: the SiPMs on the topmost PCB are read out by two full-custom ASICs located on a second PCB located underneath.
Journal ArticleDOI

In-beam experience from the CERES UV-detectors: prohibitive spark breakdown in multi-step parallel-plate chambers as compared to wire chambers

TL;DR: In this article, the CERES/NA45 experiment was extended with wire amplification as the last stage, and the residual spark rates were found to be lower by orders of magnitude and quite acceptable even for 32S-beams.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the hadronic decay current in τ−→π− − + v τ

R.J. Akers, +339 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the decay τ−→π−−−+vτ has been studied using data collected with the OPAL detector at LEP during 1992 and 1993, and the hadronic structure functions for this decay are measured model independently assuming G-parity invariance and neglecting scalar currents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low swing differential logic for mixed signal applications

TL;DR: In this article, a nonlinear load circuit for differential current-steering logic consisting of a current source in parallel with a diode connected FET is proposed, which can be easily adjusted with an external supply voltage so that the circuit design is significantly simplified.
