Increased asthma and adipose tissue inflammatory gene expression with obesity and Inuit migration to a western country.
Vibeke Backer,Katherine J. Baines,Katherine J. Baines,Heather Powell,Heather Powell,Celeste Porsbjerg,Peter G. Gibson,Peter G. Gibson +7 more
TL;DR: Among Greenlandic Inuit, adipose tissue inflammation is also increased in those who migrate to Denmark, possibly as a result of dietary changes, and no association was found between gene expression of mast cell markers in adiposity tissue and asthma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Therapeutic Potential of the 4-SURE Diet in Adults with Mild to Moderately Active Ulcerative Colitis: An Open Label Feasibility Study.
Alice S. Day,Chu K Yao,Samuel P Costello,Andrew Ruszkiewicz,Jane M. Andrews,Peter G. Gibson,Robert V Bryant +6 more
TL;DR: The 4-SURE dietary strategy is considered tolerable and an acceptable diet by adults with mild to moderately active UC and given signals of therapeutic efficacy, further evaluation of this diet is warranted in a placebo-controlled trial.
Journal ArticleDOI
Asthma control: how it can be best assessed?
TL;DR: The application of asthma control assessment represents an improvement in asthma management and the measurement of underlying disease activity potentially by biomarkers to assess disease control will lead to an improved assessment of the overall control of asthma.

Early life chlamydial infection enhances allergic airways disease through age-dependent differences in immunopathology
Phil Hansbro,Malcolm R. Starkey,Jay C. Horvat,Richard Kim,Simon Phipps,Peter G. Gibson,Paul S. Foster +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of chlamydial infection at different ages on allergic airway disease in later life were investigated, showing that early-life infection increased mucussecreting cell numbers, IL-13 expression, and airway hyperresponsiveness.
