Emotion emphasis effects in moral judgment are moderated by mindsets
TL;DR: The authors found that emphasizing negative consequences in trolley-type dilemmas with emotional language produces more utilitarian responses if such emphasis is on the consequences of the deontological option, and more deontologically responses if it is focused on the consequence of the utilitarian option.

TL;DR: The authors investigated the phenomenon of goal projection in everyday life considering three moderators: goal commitment, the perceived similarity of the target person, and goal attainment, and found that goal projection is part of our everyday life and is fostered by high-goal commitment, perceiving others as similar, and ongoing goal striving.
