Journal ArticleDOI

Bis(acetylacetonato)tricarbonyl tungsten(II): a convenient precursor to chiral bis(acac) tungsten(II) complexes.

TL;DR: Two equivalents of acetylacetonate have been successfully introduced into a monomeric tungsten(II) coordination sphere and the availability of W(CO)3(acac)2 as a source of the W(acAC)2 d4 moiety lies at the heart of the chemistry reported here.
Journal Article

Predicting treeline elevation in the southern appalachians

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared sixteen estimates based on geographic, vegetational, floristic, and climatic lines of evidence in order to bracket the potential treeline in the southern Appalachians.
Book ChapterDOI

Natural Disturbances and Early Successional Habitats

TL;DR: In this article, the amount and spatial arrangement of early successional habitats created by natural disturbances are investigated. But the authors do not have the information to answer this question at present; the answer is further complicated by the potential effects of climate change on the rates and intensities of natural disturbances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Characterization of Chiral Diphosphine Platinum(II) VANOL and VAPOL Complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, matched complexes of VANOL and VAPOL were synthesized with (S,S-chiraphos)PtCO3, and both complexes adopted the symmetric O,O-mode.
