Journal ArticleDOI

Horace A.P . 128–30: The Intent of the Wording *

TL;DR: The main part of Brink's solution is to understand communia as generalities to which individual features must be given as mentioned in this paper, and I fully agree with the main part in his solution. But the passage has for so long caused such sore vexation that his treatment of it seems actually compendious rather than long.
Journal ArticleDOI

The relationship between surface derivatization and the physical properties of bisarylphosphinidenetriironnonacarbonyl clusters

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of changes in the X groups on the physical properties of the Fe3(CO)9 cluster core is examined, and the Hammett linear free energy relationship is used to quantify the observed changes in cluster properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and ligand exchange reactions of P2Pd(II) and P2Pt(II) salicylaldimates

TL;DR: Hammett analysis reveals that the platinum complexes are sensitive to the electronics at N but not at O, and electron donating groups on the N-aryl ring stabilize the metal complex.
