The reaming of life: based on the 2010 Jim Gray eScience Award Lecture

TL;DR: There is much to do if the authors are to maximize their understanding of biological systems given the data they have today, let alone what is coming.

Use of conserved key amino acid positions to morph protein folds.

TL;DR: It is observed that each of the suggested mutant protein sequences likely folds to a different, non-native potentially stable target structure, an early indicator that analyses using structure alignments leading to CKAAPs of a given structure are of value in protein engineering experiments.
