Journal ArticleDOI

The essential role of YAP O-GlcNAcylation in high-glucose-stimulated liver tumorigenesis

TL;DR: It is found via in vitro cell-based and in vivo mouse model experiments that O-GlcNAcylation of YAP was required for high-glucose-induced liver tumorigenesis and is a potential therapeutic intervention point for treating liver cancer associated with high blood glucose levels and possibly diabetes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ferroptosis is governed by differential regulation of transcription in liver cancer

TL;DR: Two categories of genes are identified: ferroptosis up-regulated factors (FUF) and FDF, which stimulate and suppress ferroPTosis by affecting the synthesis of GSH, and disrupting the balance between HIC1 and HNF4A might be helpful in treating liver cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

O-GlcNAcylated c-Jun antagonizes ferroptosis via inhibiting GSH synthesis in liver cancer.

TL;DR: It is observed that erastin suppressed the malignant phenotypes of liver cancer cells by inhibiting O-GlcNAcylation of c-Jun and further inhibited protein expression, transcription activity and nuclear accumulation of c.Jun.
Journal ArticleDOI

TFCP2 Is Required for YAP-Dependent Transcription to Stimulate Liver Malignancy.

TL;DR: A model is established showing that TFCP2 acts as a YAP co-factor to maintain YAP-dependent transcription in liver cancer cells, suggesting that simultaneous targeting of both YAP and T FCP2 may be an effective therapeutic approach.
