Attizzani,Azeem Latib,Ulrich Schaefer,John G. Webb,Jeroen J. Bax,Raj Makkar +65 more
TL;DR: The TMVR provided excellent outcomes for patients with degenerated bioprostheses despite high surgical risk, however, ViR and ViMAC were associated with higher rates of adverse events and mid-term mortality compared with ViV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bax,Azeem Latib,Raj Makkar +49 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the outcomes of transcatheter mitral valve replacement in patients with failed mitral bioprosthetic valves (ViV) and annuloplasty rings (valve-in-ring [ViR]).
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictors of Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction After Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement
Sung Han Yoon,Sabine Bleiziffer,Azeem Latib,Lena Eschenbach,Marco Ancona,Flavien Vincent,Won-Keun Kim,Axel Unbehaum,Masahiko Asami,Abhijeet Dhoble,Miriam Silaschi,Antonio H. TL;DR: A small estimated neo-LVOT area was significantly associated with LVOT obstruction after TMVR and may help identify patients at high risk forLVOT obstruction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Derivation and Validation of a Chronic Total Coronary Occlusion Intervention Procedural Success Score From the 20,000-Patient EuroCTO Registry: The EuroCTO (CASTLE) Score
Zsolt Szijgyarto,Rajiv Rampat,Gerald S. Werner,Claudius Ho,Nicolaus Reifart,Thierry Lefèvre,Yves Louvard,Alexandre Avran,Mashayekhi Kambis,Heinz-Joachim Buettner,Carlo Di Mario,Anthony H. Spratt,Lesciak Bryniarski,Tim Clayton,David Hildick-Smith +30 more
TL;DR: The EuroCTO (CASTLE) score is derived from the largest database of CTO cases to date and offers a useful tool for predicting procedural outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Initial Experience of a Second-Generation Self-Expanding Transcatheter Aortic Valve: The UK & Ireland Evolut R Implanters’ Registry
Sundeep Kalra,Sami Firoozi,James S.M. Yeh,Daniel J. Blackman,Shabnam Rashid,Simon J. Davies,Neil Moat,Miles Dalby,Tito Kabir,Saib Khogali,Richard Anderson,Peter Groves,Darren Mylotte,David Hildick-Smith,Rajiv Rampat,Jan Kovac,Ashan Gunarathne,Jean-Claude Laborde,Stephen Brecker +18 more
TL;DR: The procedural success rate was high and safety was excellent, comparable with previous studies of the Evolut R valve and other second-generation devices, and the low rate of complications represents an improvement on first- generation devices.
