Consistency of seven different GNSS global ionospheric mapping techniques during one solar cycle
David Roma-Dollase,David Roma-Dollase,Manuel Hernández-Pajares,Andrzej Krankowski,Kacper Kotulak,Reza Ghoddousi-Fard,Yunbin Yuan,Zishen Li,Hongping Zhang,Chuang Shi,Cheng Wang,J. Feltens,Panagiotis Vergados,Attila Komjathy,Stefan Schaer,Alberto García-Rigo,Jose M. Gómez-Cama +16 more
TL;DR: A comparison of the performances of all the GIMs created in the frame of IGS, and the main conclusion is the consistency of the results between so many different GIM techniques and implementations.
Journal ArticleDOI
GPS phase scintillation and proxy index at high latitudes during a moderate geomagnetic storm
P. Prikryl,Reza Ghoddousi-Fard,Bharat S. R. Kunduri,Evan G. Thomas,Anthea J. Coster,P. T. Jayachandran,Emma Spanswick,Donald Danskin +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the amplitude and phase scintillation indices are customarily obtained by specialised GPS Ionospheric Scintillation and TEC Monitors (GISTMs) from L1 signal recorded at the rate of 50 Hz.
Journal ArticleDOI
GPS phase scintillation at high latitudes during the geomagnetic storm of 17–18 March 2015
Paul Prikryl,Paul Prikryl,Reza Ghoddousi-Fard,James M. Weygand,Ari Viljanen,Martin Connors,Donald Danskin,P. T. Jayachandran,Knut Stanley Jacobsen,Yngvild L. Andalsvik,Evan G. Thomas,Evan G. Thomas,J. M. Ruohoniemi,Tibor Durgonics,Kjellmar Oksavik,Kjellmar Oksavik,Yongliang Zhang,Emma Spanswick,Marcio Aquino,V. Sreeja +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the relation between the scintillation and auroral electrojet currents observed by arrays of ground-based magnetometers as well as energetic particle precipitation observed by the DMSP satellites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Developing a GPS TEC mapping service over Canada
TL;DR: A process has been developed to routinely map total electron content (TEC) estimated from GPS observations over Canada, which implements spherical cap harmonic analysis to interpolate vertical estimates on a standardized mapping grid that can be compared with other types of data to understand the evolution of processes in the ionosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI
GPS phase difference variation statistics: A comparison between phase scintillation index and proxy indices
TL;DR: In this paper, collocated geodetic and scintillation receivers are employed to compare proxy indices derived from geo-located GPS receivers with the phase-scintillation index during quiet and moderately disturbed ionospheric conditions.
