Journal ArticleDOI

The galanin peptide family: receptor pharmacology, pleiotropic biological actions, and implications in health and disease.

TL;DR: The wide range of functions of the galanin peptide family indicates an essential role for Galanin signaling in "mind and body homeostasis" and a potential therapeutic efficacy in a variety of human diseases, particularly epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibition of Neuroblastoma Tumor Growth by Ketogenic Diet and/or Calorie Restriction in a CD1-Nu Mouse Model

TL;DR: The data suggest that targeting the metabolic characteristics of neuroblastoma could open a new front in supporting standard therapy regimens, and it is proposed that a ketogenic diet and/or calorie restriction should be further evaluated as a possible adjuvant therapy for patients undergoing treatment for Neuroblastoma.
