"RadioAstron"-A telescope with a size of 300 000 km: Main parameters and first observational results

N. S. Kardashev, +138 more
- 13 Mar 2013 -
TL;DR: The RadioAstron project as mentioned in this paper is targeted at systematic studies of compact radio-emitting sources and their dynamics, including supermassive black holes, accretion disks, and relativistic jets in active galactic nuclei.
Journal ArticleDOI

Millimetron-a large Russian-European submillimeter space observatory

TL;DR: In this article, a Russian-led 12 m diameter sub-millimeter and far-infrared space observatory is proposed for launch around 2017, which will enable unique science and allow at least one order of magnitude improvement with respect to the Herschel Space Observatory.
