The smith cloud : a high-velocity cloud colliding with the milky way
TL;DR: The Smith Cloud has a striking cometary appearance and many indications of interaction with the Galactic interstellar medium as discussed by the authors, and its leading section has a total space velocity near 300 km s−1, is moving toward the Galactic plane with a velocity of 73 ± 26 km s −1, and shedding material to the Galaxy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Smith's Cloud: A High-velocity Cloud Colliding with the Milky Way
TL;DR: Smith's Cloud has a striking cometary appearance and many indications of interaction with the Galactic ISM as mentioned in this paper, and the velocities of interaction give a kinematic distance of 12.4 +/- 1.3 kpc.

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of ground-based observations of Titan during the Huygens atmospheric probe mission at Titan is presented, connecting the momentary in situ observations by the probe with the synoptic coverage provided by continuing ground based programs.
