Fragmentation of Isothermal Sheet-Like Clouds. II— Full Nonlinear Numerical Simulations —

TL;DR: In this article, the processus de fragmentation d'un feuillet de gaz isotherme s'etendant indefiniment dans les directions x et y par une simulation numerique 3D, in order to analyse les effets non lineaires sur la croissance des perturbations.
Journal ArticleDOI

First search for gravitational waves from inspiraling compact binaries using TAMA300 data

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed 6 hours of data from the TAMA300 detector by matched filtering, searching for gravitational waves from inspiraling compact binaries and obtained an upper limit of 0.59/hour (C.L.=90%) on the event rate of inspirals of compact binaries with mass between 0.3M and 10M/solar and with signal-to-noise ratio greater than 7.2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analytic Solutions for Equilibrium of Rotating Isothermal Clouds -- One-Parameter Family of Axisymmetric and Conformal Configurations--

TL;DR: In this paper, the stability of rotating axisymmetric isothermal gas clouds is studied and it is found that, if the linear rotation velocity is constant throughout a cloud, there exists a one-parameter family of conformal solutions which describe the equilibrium exactly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characteristics of Collapse of Rotating Isothermal Clouds

TL;DR: In this article, the collapse of rotating isothermal clouds has been investigated by axisymmetric two-dimensional simulations and also by one-dimensional analysis as well as simulations in a thin disk approximation.
