Journal ArticleDOI
Late Pleistocene sea level variations derived from the Argentine Shelf
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple Airy isostatic model for hydroisostatic compensation and correcting for a minor tectonic component yields a local eustatic sea level lowering of ∼105 m at the last glacial maximum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interpreting and reporting 40Ar/39Ar geochronologic data

TL;DR: The 40Ar/39Ar dating method is among the most versatile of geochronometers, having the potential to date a broad variety of K-bearing materials spanning from the time of Earth's formation into the historical realm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pb isotope compositions of modern deep sea turbidites
TL;DR: In this article, a negative correlation between both Pb and Nd isotope ratios and ϵNd and Hf was found in modern deep sea turbidites with very old provenance, which is consistent with a model where Th and U abundances of the Archean upper crust are significantly lower than the post-Archean lower crust.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laschamp Excursion at Mono Lake
TL;DR: In this article, the age of the Laschamp geomagnetic excursion at its type locality using new 14 C dates on carbonates and 40 Ar/39 Ar sanidine dates on ash layers yields an estimate of 38^41 ka.
