N.F. Zulkipli,Malathy Batumalay,F.S.M. Samsamnun,M. B. H. Mahyuddin,Tengku Faiz Tengku Mohmed Noor Izam,Muhammad Imran Mustafa Abdul Khudus,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
A Q-switched fibre laser operating in the 2 mu m region based on nonlinear polarization rotation technique
S. M Azooz,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Harith Ahmad,Anisha Halder,Mukul Chandra Paul,Shyamal Das,Shyamal Kumar Bhadra +6 more
TL;DR: The first reported Q-switched fiber laser using the nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) technique was presented in this article. But this was not the case for all the existing laser systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative analysis of energy transfer processes in Thulium–Bismuth germanate co-doped fiber amplifier
Atiyeh Zarifi,Siamak Dawazdah Emami,F. Z. Zahedi,H. Fatehi,S. E. Mirnia,Harith Ahmad,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of dopants concentration on energy transfer parameters in germanate fiber amplifier at 1800nm region was studied quantitatively, and the optimum values of Thulium and Bismuth concentration which result in maximum gain at 1800 nm were 0.5 and 2.% respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient and low‐noise gain‐flattened double‐pass L‐band erbium‐doped fiber amplifier
Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Harith Ahmad +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a double-pass longwavelength-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier with enhanced noise figure characteristics is demonstrated by adding a short length of forward pumped EDF (EDF) in front of the double pass amplifier.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation on stimulated Brillouin scattering effect in Photonic crystal fiber
Harith Ahmad,R. Parvizi,N. M. Ali,Nurul Shahrizan Shahabuddin,Hamzah Arof,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a single wavelength ring Brillouin fiber laser (BFL) is demonstrated using a piece of Photonic crystal fiber (PCF) as a gain medium.
