Multi-wavelength fiber laser with erbium doped zirconia fiber and semiconductor optical amplifier
Amirah Hamzah,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,N.A.D. Huri,A. Lokman,Hamzah Arof,Mukul Chandra Paul,Manimala Pal,Shyamal Das,Shyamal Kumar Bhadra,Harith Ahmad,S. Yoo,M.P. Kalita,Alexander J. Boyland,Jayanta K. Sahu +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a fabricated Erbium-doped Zirconia fiber (EDZF) and semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) as gain media.
Journal ArticleDOI
Q-switched double-clad Ytterbium-doped fiber laser using MoS2 flakes saturable absorber
K. L. Tey,M.F.A. Rahman,M.F.A. Rahman,A.H.A. Rosol,Muhammad Farid Mohd Rusdi,M. B. H. Mahyuddin,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Anas Abdul Latiff +7 more
TL;DR: By sandwiching MoS2 thin flakes between two fiber ferrule connectors in the ring cavity, the passive Q-switched fiber laser operation was successfully demonstrated in this paper, which consists of all-fiber double-clad ytterbium-doped fiber (YDF) as a gain medium and MoS 2 tape as a saturable absorber (SA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Micro-bottle resonator for sodium hypochlorite sensor
Nurul Atika Baharuddin,Norrima Mokhtar,Huda Adnan Zain,Ashadi Md Johari,Retna Apsari,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an Optical micro-bottle resonator (MBR) structure fabricated based on arc fusion approach is used for measuring sodium hypochlorite concentration, which has a bottle diameter, bottle length and stem diameter of 180,µm, 183 µm and 125 µmm respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
The pH sensor based optical fiber coated with PAH/PAA
TL;DR: In this paper, a pH-sensitive optical fiber sensor was fabricated with layer-by-layer (LbL) method using poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) bilayers.
Q-switching pulse generation using black phosphorus tape saturable absorber
TL;DR: In this paper, a black phosphorus (BP) tape is used to mechanically exfoliate few layers of BP from 99.995% purity crystal and the BP tape is cut into a small piece and sandwiched between two standard FC/PC fiber ferrule end surfaces with index matching gel.
