Multi-walled carbon nanotubes doped Poly(Methyl MethAcrylate) microfiber for relative humidity sensing

TL;DR: In this article, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) doped poly(Methyl MethAcrylate) (PMMA) microfiber was proposed and demonstrated for relative humidity sensing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Q-switched and mode-locked thulium doped fiber lasers with nickel oxide film saturable absorber

TL;DR: In this article, a passively Q-switched and mode-locked fiber laser based on thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL) cavity was demonstrated utilizing nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles as a saturable absorber.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of a fiber optic humidity sensor based on agarose gel

TL;DR: In this paper, an optical fiber humidity sensor was fabricated using a hydrophilic gel (agarose) deposited on the tapered plastic optical fiber (POF), which can absorb and exude moisture from/to the ambience and changing its ability to modulate the intensity of light that propagates through the fiber.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) in MoS2- and WS2-Protected Titanium Side-Polished Optical Fiber as a Humidity Sensor

TL;DR: The findings show that MoS2 shows more sensitivity on 36-nm thickness of Ti compared with WS2, therefore, the proposed fiber-optic sensor with integration of 2D materials is capable of measuring humidity in any environment.
