Domain-wall dark pulse generation in fiber laser incorporating MoS2
Harith Ahmad,Zian Cheak Tiu,A. Zarei,Muneswaran Suthaskumar,M.A.M. Salim,M.A.M. Salim,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, dual-wavelength domain-wall (DW) dark pulse operation based on Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) was demonstrated and the highest pulse energy of 46 pJ was obtained at pump power of 242.5 mW.
Journal ArticleDOI
Indium Tin Oxide Coated D-Shape Fiber as a Saturable Absorber for Generating a Dark Pulse Mode-Locked Laser
Bilal Nizamani,Sameer Salam,A.A.A. Jafry,Norhilmi Mohd Zahir,N. Jurami,M.I.M. Abdul Khudus,Ahmad Shuhaimi,Effariza Hanafi,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the indium tin oxide (ITO) coated D-shape fiber was used as a saturable absorber (SA) for a dark pulse mode-locked laser.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-wavelength Brillouin fiber laser using dual-cavity configuration
TL;DR: In this paper, a dual-pass configuration of the Brillouin fiber laser (BFL) is proposed to achieve a tunable multi-wavelength tunable multichannel BFL with room temperature stable, tunable over 50 nm wavelength range and has an optical signal to noise ratio of more than 30 dB at 1560 nm region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance Comparison of Mode-Locked Erbium-Doped Fiber Laser with Nonlinear Polarization Rotation and Saturable Absorber Approaches
M. A. Ismail,Sin Jin Tan,Nurul Shahrizan Shahabuddin,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Hamzah Arof,Harith Ahmad +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) was demonstrated using a highly concentrated EDF as the gain medium in a ring configuration with and without a saturable absorber (SA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical characterization of different waist diameter on microfiber loop resonator humidity sensor
Mohd Hafiz Jali,Mohd Hafiz Jali,Hazli Rafis Abdul Rahim,Ashadi Md Johari,Ashadi Md Johari,Sana Sulaiman Hamid,Haziezol Helmi Mohd Yusof,Haziezol Helmi Mohd Yusof,Siddharth Thokchom,Pengfei Wang,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of different waist diameter on silica microfiber loop resonator (MLR) relative humidity (RH) sensor is reported, where the silica fiber was tapered to vary the waist diameter to 3 μm, 4µm, 5µmm, 7 µmm and 10 µm using flame brushing technique.
