Charge and transverse momentum correlations in deep inelastic muon-proton scattering

Michele Arneodo, +116 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the relationship between charged hadrons in a 280 GeV muon-proton scattering experiment and found that the correlations originate in the fragmentation process and are not due simply to resonance production.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the b forward-backward asymmetry and mixing using high-p⊥ leptons

D. Buskulic, +398 more
- 19 Sep 1996 -
TL;DR: In this article, the B 0 - B 0 average mixing parameter χ and b forward-backward asymmetry A FB 0 (b) are measured from a sample of about 4 200 000 Z → qq events recorded with the ALEPH detector at LEP in the years 1990-1995.
Journal ArticleDOI

Test of the flavour independence of αs

D. Buskulic, +412 more
- 27 Jul 1995 -
TL;DR: In this article, the ALEPH event-shape variables using the full hadronic sample, two b -quark samples enriched by lepton tagging and lifetime tagging, and a light-quark sample enriched by lifetime antitagging were used to test the flavour independence of the strong coupling constant α s.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review of the relevance of the ‘CLOUD’ results and other recent observations to the possible effect of cosmic rays on the terrestrial climate

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that even if cosmic rays enhanced cloud production, there would be a small global cooling, not warming, and that H2SO4 is the dominant source of aerosols in the atmosphere.
