Electroweak measurements in electron positron collisions at W-boson-pair energies at LEP

S. Schael, +1675 more
- 30 Nov 2013 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of the four LEP experiments were combined to determine fundamental properties of the W boson and the electroweak theory, including the branching fraction of W and the trilinear gauge-boson self-couplings.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence for planar events in e+e− annihilation at high energies

TL;DR: Hadron jets produced in e+e− annihilation between 13 GeV and 31.6 GeV in c.m. energy at PETRA are analyzed in this article, showing that the broadening of the jets is not uniform in azimuthal angle around the quark direction but tends to yield planar events with large and growing transverse momenta in the plane and smaller transverse momentsa normal to the plane.
Journal ArticleDOI

A measurement of the inclusive b -> s gamma branching ratio

R. Barate, +374 more
- 11 Jun 1998 -
TL;DR: In this article, the flavour changing neutral current decay b→sγ has been detected in hadronic Z decays collected by ALEPH at LEP, which is isolated in lifetime-tagged b b events by the presence of a hard photon associated with a system of high momentum and high rapidity hadrons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of quantum chromodynamics with the ALEPH detector

R. Barate, +413 more
- 01 Feb 1998 -
TL;DR: In this article, the ALEPH detector at LEP1 has been used for detailed studies of both perturbative and non-perturbative aspects of strong interactions to be carried out using hadronic Z and tau decays.
Journal ArticleDOI

Searches for new particles in $Z$ decays using the ALEPH detector

D. Decamp, +403 more
- 01 Jan 1992 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive set of mass and coupling limits are presented for a number of rare hadronic and leptonic decays at the e+e− collider at the LEP, and the searches performed by ALEPH for Higgs bosons, supersymmetric particles, and for evidence of compositeness are reviewed.
