Effect of the macroalgae Asparagopsis taxiformis on methane production and rumen microbiome assemblage

TL;DR: Fermentation in a semi-continuous in-vitro rumen system suggests that A. taxiformis can reduce methane production from enteric fermentation in dairy cattle by 95% when added at a 5% OM inclusion rate without any obvious negative impacts on volatile fatty acid production.

Hematologic, Plasma Biochemical, and Lipid Panel Reference Intervals in Orange-winged Amazon Parrots (Amazona amazonica)

TL;DR: Assessment of the agreement between the calculated and measured LDL-C concentrations indicated a systematic bias of 19.1 mg/dL and a proportional bias of 1.07, and a correction factor of −19 mg/L could be applied to the Friedewald formula, to obtain a result closer to the measure, providing clinically acceptable (<20% difference) agreement.

Transcriptome Analysis and In Situ Hybridization for FcaGHV1 in Feline Lymphoma.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that FcaGHV1 transcripts can be detected in some FIV-associated lymphomas, but at low copy number, precluding assessment of a potential role for Fca GHV1 in lymphomagenesis, and suggest prioritization of a subset of intestinal T-cell tumors, large granular lymphocyte lymphoma, for study.
