Non parabolic band transport in semiconductors: closure of the moment equations
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of the closure of the moment equations of the semiconductor Boltzmann equation was studied in the framework of the Kane dispersion relation (therefore avoiding the limitations of the parabolic band approximation).
Journal ArticleDOI
Central Schemes for Balance Laws of Relaxation Type
TL;DR: A generalization of the Nessyahu--Tadmor scheme to the nonhomogeneous case by including the cell averages of the production terms in the discrete balance equations and a second order scheme uniformly accurate in the relaxation parameter is derived and its properties analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cloning and sequencing of a full length cDNA coding for human retinol-binding protein
Vittorio Colantuoni,Vittorio Romano,G. Bensi,Claudio Santoro,Francesco Costanzo,G. Raugei,Riccardo Cortese +6 more
TL;DR: The sequence indicates that Retinol Binding Protein is synthesized as a single polypeptide chain precursor which is then matured to the secreted protein by removal of a leader peptide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non parabolic band transport in semiconductors: closure of the production terms in the moment equations
TL;DR: In this article, the Kane dispersion relation for the energy band was used to obtain closure relations for the production terms of the balance equations describing the motion of electrons in semiconductors.
