Luminosity distributions within rich clusters — II. Demonstration and verification via simulation
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used simulations of long-exposure CCD images to explore the validity of the statistical method for reconstructing the luminosity distribution of galaxies within a rich cluster, i.e., by the subtraction of field number counts from those of a sight-line through the cluster.

TL;DR: The WiggleZ survey as discussed by the authors is a large-scale spectroscopic survey of 280,000 star-forming galaxies selected from a combination of GALEX ultra-violet and SDSS + RCS2 optical imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of stellar populations on galaxy scaling relations in the 6dF Galaxy Survey
TL;DR: In this article, the stellar populations as a function of mass in a sample of ∼7000 galaxies of all morphological and emission types from the 6dF Galaxy Survey were analyzed.

TL;DR: In this article, the relative bias between early and late-type galaxies in the Two-degree Field Galaxy Redshift Survey (2dFGRS) was analyzed using the integral constraint bias of the autocorrelation function.

The morphological transformation of red sequence galaxies in clusters since z ∼ 1
P. Cerulo,P. Cerulo,Warrick J. Couch,Warrick J. Couch,C. Lidman,R. Demarco,Marc Huertas-Company,S. Mei,S. Mei,Rubén Sánchez-Janssen,L. F. Barrientos,L. F. Barrientos,R. Munoz +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the morphological composition of red sequence galaxies in a sample of 9 galaxy clusters at the HAWK-I cluster survey (HCS) was presented, with the aim of investigating the evolutionary paths of galaxies with different morphologies.
