Journal ArticleDOI
Optimized growth of graphene on SiC: from the dynamic flip mechanism
Dandan Wang,Lei Liu,Wei Chen,Xiaobo Chen,Han Huang,Han Huang,Jun He,Yuan Ping Feng,Andrew T. S. Wee,Dezhen Shen +9 more
TL;DR: This study proposes an energetic-beam controlled growth method that not only significantly lowers the growth temperature but also makes it possible to grow high-quality graphene with the desired size and patterns directly on the SiC substrate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation of Uncapped CdSe x Te 1− x Nanocrystals with Strong Near-IR Tunable Absorption
Shaohua Li,Guolong Tan,James B. Murowchick,Clarissa A. Wisner,Nickolas Leventis,Ting Xia,Xiaobo Chen,Zhonghua Peng +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the preparation of composition-tunable, uncapped CdSexTe1−x (x = 0 to 1) nanocrystals by simple mechanical alloying.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergistic enhancement of π-electron density in graphitic carbon nitride for significantly improved photocatalytic hydrogen evolution under visible-light irradiation
TL;DR: In this paper, a synergistic strategy integrated elemental doping and defect engineering has been developed to modulate the electronic and bandgap structure of g-C3N4 by controlling its conjugated aromatic system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photonic TiO2 photoelectrodes for environmental protections: Can color be used as a quick selection indicator for photoelectrocatalytic performance?
Yan Liu,Min Lai,Lulu Long,Yanzong Zhang,Ling Luo,Fei Shen,Xiaohong Zhang,Shirong Zhang,Shihuai Deng,Xiaobo Chen +9 more
TL;DR: Colored photonic TiO2 photoelectrodes have been prepared by a simple anodizing-annealing method and it is found that the structure would affect the color and optical performance, and the films with different colors showed different PEC performance.
Journal Article
