Polymer bulk heterojunction solar cells: Function and utility of inserting a hole transport and electron blocking layer into the device structure

TL;DR: In this article, the function and utility of inserting an in situ polymerizable triphenylamine-containing polyperfluorocyclobutane (TPA-PFCB) as a hole transport and electron blocking layer into the structure of bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells were demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoconductivity and charge transporting properties of metal-containing poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s

TL;DR: In this article, a novel type of poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s which contain (bis(2,2′:6′, 2′′-terpyridine) ruthenium (II) complexes has been developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transient biphotonic holographic grating in photoisomerizative azo materials

TL;DR: In this paper, transient biphotonic holographic grating was studied theoretically and experimentally in trans-cis isomerization azo materials, and it was shown that the mechanism of the grating can be attributed to the redistribution of cis isomers induced by both the short-wavelength light and the long-wvelength light.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solution-processed cross-linkable hole selective layer for polymer solar cells in the inverted structure

TL;DR: In this paper, a solution-processed cross-linkable tetraphenyldiamine-containing material (TPD-BVB) was demonstrated as a highly efficient hole selective transport layer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Understanding the Halogenation Effects in Diketopyrrolopyrrole-Based Small Molecule Photovoltaics.

TL;DR: Two molecules containing a central diketopyrrolopyrrole and two oligothiophene units have been designed and synthesized, suggesting that fluorination is an efficient method for constructing small molecules for OSCs.
