Journal ArticleDOI
OrthoVenn: a web server for genome wide comparison and annotation of orthologous clusters across multiple species
TL;DR: A web platform named OrthoVenn that is useful for genome wide comparisons and visualization of orthologous clusters and allows for a customized search of clusters of specific genes through key words or BLAST is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome sequence of the progenitor of the wheat D genome Aegilops tauschii
Ming-Cheng Luo,Yong Q. Gu,Daniela Puiu,Hao Wang,Sven Twardziok,Karin R. Deal,Naxin Huo,Naxin Huo,Tingting Zhu,Le Wang,Yi Wang,Yi Wang,Patrick E. Salzberg,Steven L. Salzberg,Katrien M. Devos,Jan Dvořák +51 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that the vast amounts of very similar repeated sequences cause frequent errors in recombination and lead to gene duplications and structural chromosome changes that drive fast genome evolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Drought delays development of the sorghum root microbiome and enriches for monoderm bacteria
Ling Xu,Dan Naylor,Dan Naylor,Zhaobin Dong,Zhaobin Dong,Tuesday Simmons,Tuesday Simmons,Grady Pierroz,Grady Pierroz,Kim K. Hixson,Young-Mo Kim,Erika M. Zink,Kristin Engbrecht,Yi Wang,Yi Wang,Cheng Gao,Stephanie DeGraaf,Mary Madera,Julie A. Lemaux,Devin Coleman-Derr +29 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that under drought, roots increase the production of many metabolites, and that monoderms inhabiting the drought-treated rhizosphere exhibit increased activity of transporters connected with some of these same compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
A New Tomato NAC (NAM/ATAF1/2/CUC2) Transcription Factor, SlNAC4, Functions as a Positive Regulator of Fruit Ripening and Carotenoid Accumulation
TL;DR: Results suggested that ethylene-dependent and -independent processes are regulated by SlNAC4 in the fruit ripening regulatory network.
Journal ArticleDOI
A 4-gigabase physical map unlocks the structure and evolution of the complex genome of Aegilops tauschii, the wheat D-genome progenitor
