Boosting H2 Production from a BiVO4 Photoelectrochemical Biomass Fuel Cell by the Construction of a Bridge for Charge and Energy Transfer

TL;DR: In this paper , a unique BiVO4 PEC fuel cell was developed by utilizing the low-cost biomass, tartaric acid, as an organic fuel, and a bridge for the charge and energy transfer was successfully constructed, which not only improved the photoelectric conversion efficiency but also effectively converted the chemical energy of biomass into H2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Excited-State Properties of Janus Transition-Metal Dichalcogenides

TL;DR: As a new member in the family of two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenides, the excited-state properties of Janus MoSSe have not been correctly understood yet as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Au adsorption and Au-mediated charge transfer on the SrO-termination of SrTiO3 (001) surface

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of Au in charge transfer from electron-doped SrTiO 3 :Nb to NO has been investigated by means of the density functional theory (DFT).
Journal ArticleDOI

Spontaneous Magnetic Skyrmions in Single-Layer CrInX3 (X = Te, Se).

TL;DR: In this paper , spontaneous magnetic skyrmions in single-layer CrInX3 (X = Te, Se) were identified using first-principles calculations and Monte Carlo simulations and the phase diagrams of their topological spin textures under the variation of magnetic parameters of D, J, and K were mapped out.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polar Molecular Modification onto BiOBr to RegulateMolecular Oxygen Activation

TL;DR: This work provides an alternative way to modulate the type of major reactive oxygen species produced during the photocatalytic process by Polar molecular 4-carboxythiophenolate anion (4CBT) mod...
