Profiling Early Humoral Response to Diagnose Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
Li Guo,Lili Ren,Siyuan Yang,Meng Xiao,De Chang,Fan Yang,Charles S. Dela Cruz,Yingying Wang,Chao Wu,Yan Xiao,Lulu Zhang,Lianlian Han,Shengyuan Dang,Yan Xu,Qi Wen Yang,Sheng Yong Xu,Hua Dong Zhu,Yingchun Xu,Qi Jin,Lokesh Sharma,Linghang Wang,Jianwei Wang +21 more
TL;DR: The humoral response to SARS-CoV-2 can aid in the diagnosis of COVID-19, including subclinical cases, and the detection efficiency by IgM ELISA is higher than that of qPCR after 5.5 days of symptom onset.
Journal ArticleDOI
The kinetics of humoral response and its relationship with the disease severity in COVID-19.
Lili Ren,Lulu Zhang,De Chang,Junwen Wang,Yongfeng Hu,Hong Chen,Li Guo,Chao Wu,Conghui Wang,Yingying Wang,Ying Wang,Geng Wang,Siyuan Yang,Charles S. Dela Cruz,Lokesh Sharma,Linghang Wang,Dingyu Zhang,Jianwei Wang +17 more
TL;DR: The results suggest the late onset of antibody response as a risk factor for disease severity, however, there is a limited role of antibody titers in predicting disease severity of COVID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI
MARCH8 inhibits influenza A virus infection by targeting viral M2 protein for ubiquitination-dependent degradation in lysosomes.
Xiaoman Liu,Fengwen Xu,Lili Ren,Fei Zhao,Yu Huang,Liang Wei,Yingying Wang,Conghui Wang,Zhangling Fan,Shan Mei,Jingdong Song,Zhendong Zhao,Shan Cen,Chen Liang,Jianwei Wang,Fei Guo +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate that MARCH8 profoundly inhibits influenza A virus (IAV) replication both in vitro and in mice, and suggest the inhibitory pressure of MARCH 8 on H1N1 IAV transmission in the human population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of two TaqMan real-time reverse transcription-PCR assays for the detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2.
Yi Wei Liu,Yingying Wang,Xinming Wang,Yan Xiao,Lan Chen,Li Guo,Jianguo Li,Lili Ren,Jianwei Wang +8 more
TL;DR: Two TaqMan real-time reverse transcription-PCR assays to detect SARS-CoV-2 are developed and demonstrate a lower viral load in the upper respiratory tract and the relatively lower sensitivity of the ORF 1b gene assay.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of three TaqMan real-time reverse transcription-PCR assays in detecting SARS-CoV-2.
TL;DR: Evaluated the sensitivity, specificity, amplification efficiency, and linear detection ranges of three qRT-PCR assays, including the assays developed by the IPBCAMS group (IPBCAMS), and the Assays recommended by WHO and China CDC (CCDC), and found the N gene assays of CCDC assays and IPBCAMs assays performed better than those of the WHO and CCDC.
