Journal ArticleDOI
Homogenous spiking neural P systems with anti-spikes
TL;DR: It is proved that two categories of pure form of spiking rules are sufficient to compute and accept the family of sets of Turing computable natural numbers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Syngas production via chemical looping reforming biomass pyrolysis oil using NiO/dolomite as oxygen carrier, catalyst or sorbent
Tingting Xu,Bo Xiao,Gift Gladson Moyo,Fanghua Li,Fanghua Li,Zhihua Chen,Xun Wang,Zhiquan Hu,Shimin Liu,Mian Hu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used NiO/dolomite as the bed material in the chemical looping reforming (CLR) with biomass pyrolysis oil (BPO) for syngas production.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tc17 cells are associated with cigarette smoke‐induced lung inflammation and emphysema
Hongbin Zhou,Wen Hua,Yan Jin,Chao Zhang,Luanqing Che,Lixia Xia,Jiesen Zhou,Zhihua Chen,Wen Li,Huahao Shen,Huahao Shen +10 more
TL;DR: Some types of T lymphocytes, especially cytotoxic T‐cells (Tc1) and T‐helper (Th17) cells, play a pivotal role in cigarette smoke‐induced lung diseases, but whether Tc17 cells are involved remains largely unknown.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cigarette smoke-initiated autoimmunity facilitates sensitisation to elastin-induced COPD-like pathologies in mice.
Jie Sen Zhou,Zhou-Yang Li,Xu Chen Xu,Yun Zhao,Yong Wang,Hai Pin Chen,Min Zhang,Yin Fang Wu,Tianwen Lai,Chun Hong Di,Ling Ling Dong,Juan Liu,Nan Xia Xuan,Chen Zhu,Yanping Wu,Hua Qiong Huang,Fu Gui Yan,Wen Hua,Yi Wang,Wei Ning Xiong,Hui Qiu,Tao Chen,Dong Weng,Hui Ping Li,Xiaobo Zhou,Lie Wang,Fang Liu,Xin Lin,Songmin Ying,Wen Li,Mitsuru Imamura,Mary E. Choi,Martin R. Stämpfli,Augustine M.K. Choi,Zhihua Chen,Huahao Shen +35 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that MMP12-generated elastin fragments serve as a self-antigen and drive the cigarette smoke-induced autoimmune processes in mice that result in a bronchitis-like phenotype and airspace enlargement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Necroptosis Contributes to Urban Particulate Matter-Induced Airway Epithelial Injury.
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that necroptosis is involved in the pathogenesis of PM–induced pulmonary inflammation and mucus hyperproduction, and suggests that it may be a novel target for treatment of airway disorders or disease exacerbations with airborne particulate pollution.
