TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined changes in the training process and cognitive abilities and academic performance during the coronavirus pandemic and found that the performance of distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic was significantly worse than the performance obtained in classroom teaching.
Abstract: These days, distance learning has almost completely replaced traditional teaching methods due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of quarantine measures. A sharp rise in interest in distance learning methodology has raised a number of new questions and challenges. This research examines changes in the training process and cognitive abilities and academic performance during the coronavirus pandemic. Students of the I.M. Sechenov University and Al Ain University were surveyed (103) during classroom and distance English learning before and during the COVID-19. Three samples of the average values of the respondents' self-assessment of academic performance, cognitive abilities (namely concentration and memory), progress in performing oral assignments, progress in performing written assignments, ability to absorb information while reading and by ear; general health condition during the training and were obtained and tested for the Gaussian distribution law compliance. All of the rates studied fell during distance learning during a pandemic compared to distance learning outside a pandemic. However, it should be noted that they still turned out to be higher than the marks obtained in classroom teaching. Students were interviewed for possible factors influencing the reviewed teaching modes effectiveness (the survey showed that these factors are an increase in the amount of leisure time, ability to take breaks more often, more comfortable learning environment, no need to spend time on the road to the university).

TL;DR: In this article, a qualitative analysis of a class of nonlinear coupled systems of fractional delay differential equations (FDDEs) under integral boundary conditions was carried out, and the existence and uniqueness for the solution of this system were established with the help of Leray-Schauder and Banach fixed point theorem.
Abstract: In this research article, we develop a qualitative analysis to a class of nonlinear coupled system of fractional delay differential equations (FDDEs). Under the integral boundary conditions, existence and uniqueness for the solution of this system are carried out. With the help of Leray–Schauder and Banach fixed point theorem, we establish indispensable results. Also, some results affiliated to Ulam–Hyers (UH) stability for the system under investigation are presented. To validate the results, illustrative examples are given at the end of the manuscript.

TL;DR: The highly directional beams, high gain, and compact size of the proposed antenna permit implementation of multiple antennas for indoor applications in the 28 GHz band.
Abstract: In this article, a four-element circularly polarized series-slot-fed multiple–input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array with circular polarization (CP) diversity is presented. The proposed design utilizes a combination of 45° inclined slots and a straight microstrip line feeding technique. The two antennas are designed to operate with the opposite sense of CP. CP is achieved by placing a patch of just about square dimensions on the top of the V-slot with orthogonal but unequal arms. The unequal arm of the slot degenerates the fundamental mode at a slightly different frequency with a 90° phase difference occurring at the center frequency of each arm. Proper positioning of the patch on the top of the slot ensures excitation of CP. For realizing a MIMO antenna with a different sense of polarization, both the slots and the patches are flipped with respect to the feedline. Following optimization at the full-wave level of description, the antenna is prototyped and validated experimentally. The realizable antenna footprint is 20 mm $\times27.7$ mm. The simulated and measured results indicate that the proposed antenna features a wide impedance bandwidth ( $\vert \text{S}_{11}\vert dB) from 26.9 to 30.7 GHz, 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth from 27.31 to 29.65 GHz and the peak realized gain of 11.86 dBic. Moreover, it exhibits a low level of in-band isolation $\vert \text{S}_{21}\vert > -37$ dB and an almost negligible envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), less than 0.00025. The highly directional beams, high gain, and compact size of the proposed antenna permit implementation of multiple antennas for indoor applications in the 28 GHz band.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report the findings of a survey undertaken at Al Ain University of Science and Technology (AAU) to investigate and understand faculty awareness, use and perception of Open Access (OA) resources.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to report the findings of a survey undertaken at Al Ain University of Science and Technology (AAU) to investigate and understand faculty awareness, use and perception of Open Access (OA) resources. Design/methodology/approach – Using a Web-based survey questionnaire, data were collected from full-time faculty members teaching at AAU, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Findings – The study found that faculty members possess a good knowledge and a positive perception of OA resources. They frequently use OA resources for teaching, learning and research activities. However, the findings indicate that female faculty members are more likely to use OA resources than male faculty members. Faculty members with a high level of awareness or use are found to have a highly positive perception of OA resources. Presenting research reports at conferences and seminars or publishing research papers is weakly associated with the level of awareness and use of OA resources. The study revealed n...
