TL;DR: In this article, the decoding of multiview video signals is described as: receiving a bitstream comprising encodings of multiple views of the multi-view video signal, each view comprises multiple pictures segmented into multiple segments.
Abstract: Decoding a multiview video signal comprises: receiving a bitstream comprising encodings of multiple views of the multiview video signal. Each view comprises multiple pictures segmented into multiple segments. The decoding also comprises extracting flag information associated with a portion of the multiview video signal from the bitstream indicating whether illumination compensation of segments within said portion of the multiview video signal is enabled. For a portion in which illumination compensation is enabled according to the extracted flag information, a value associated with a segment within the portion is extracted from the bitstream and it is determined from said extracted value whether illumination compensation of the segment is to be performed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mobile terminal including a body and a display module, which is capable of receiving a touch input and a method of controlling the mobile terminal is provided, which includes setting the touch sensitivity of the display module to a first level; if the display is bent or folded, setting the sensitivity of a second level; and if the displayed module is unbent or unfolded and thus returns to its original shape, the display sensitivity can be adjusted back to the first level.
Abstract: A mobile terminal including a body and a display module, which is flexible and is capable of receiving a touch input and a method of controlling the mobile terminal are provided. The method includes setting the touch sensitivity of a display module to a first level; if the display module is bent or folded, setting the touch sensitivity of a bent or folded portion of the display module to a second level; and if the display module is unbent or unfolded and thus returns to its original shape, setting the touch sensitivity of the bent or folded portion of the display module back to the first level. Accordingly, it is possible to adaptively adjust the touch sensitivity of the display module according to whether and how the display module is bent or folded.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for encoding or decoding a video signal using a merging mode in which prediction information on a neighbor unit is used instead of transmitting prediction on the present unit, so as to improve coding efficiency.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for encoding or decoding a video signal. The method for processing a video signal according to the present invention uses a merging mode in which prediction information on a neighbor unit is used instead of transmitting prediction information on the present unit, so as to improve coding efficiency. In this case, the number of available candidate units for merging among the units in a predetermined position is determined, and information for the merging mode is acquired on the basis of the number of the available candidate units for merging. The unit to be merged is determined using the information for the merging mode, and prediction information on the unit to be merged is acquired. The prediction value for the present unit is acquired using the prediction information on the unit to be merged, and the present unit is restored using the acquired prediction value.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method of displaying multimedia data and providing multitasking features and a mobile communications terminal capable of implementing the same; and a cradle for the mobile communication terminal.
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method of displaying multimedia data and providing multitasking features and a mobile communications terminal capable of implementing the same; and cradle for the mobile communications terminal. A mobile communications terminal includes a transceiver, a memory, a first display unit, a second display unit, a processor, a sensor to detect a rotational movement of a body, and a cradle for displaying multimedia contents is provided. The display unit can display the multimedia data in a fixed viewing angle regardless of which direction a user rotates the terminal. A method comprises the steps of displaying multimedia data playback on at least one of a first and a second display screens, displaying information related to the multimedia data, on at least a portion of the at least one of the display screens, providing multimedia control functions and/or indications to the user in a minimally intrusive manner, and displaying a multimedia playback control menu on the at least one of the two display screens.
