27 Jan 2000TL;DR: In this paper, a method of searching or browsing multimedia data which can effectively search or browse an image is disclosed, which is performed in consideration of at least one of a reliability information on a weight of a feature of an input multimedia data and an authority code.
Abstract: A method of searching or browsing multimedia data which can effectively search or browse an image is disclosed. In the present method, the searching or browsing is performed in consideration of at least one of a reliability information on a weight of a feature of an input multimedia data and an authority code. According to the method, the system selects reference multimedia data, and searches the multimedia data using a weight of a feature and/or a feature element of the input multimedia data. A user gives feedback on the relevance of the searched or browsed multimedia data, and the system calculates a new weight using the relevance information. Thus, the system updates and maintains new weights of features and/or feature elements.

28 Nov 2011TL;DR: In this paper, a method of facilitating communications between a mobile terminal and a display device includes determining an orientation of a mobile device with respect to a display that is physically distinct of the mobile device, and determining a manner in which wireless content data is to be communicated between the display device and the mobile terminal.
Abstract: A method of facilitating communications between a mobile terminal and a display device includes determining an orientation of a mobile terminal with respect to a display device that is physically distinct of the mobile terminal, and determining a manner in which wireless content data is to be communicated between the display device and the mobile terminal. The method includes wirelessly transmitting the content data between the display device and the mobile terminal based on the determined manner. The determined manner of the communication can be based on determining whether the mobile terminal faces a display screen of the display device for wirelessly transmitting the content data from the mobile terminal to the display device or determining whether the mobile terminal faces away from the display screen of the display device for wirelessly transmitting the content data from the display device to the mobile terminal.

01 Apr 2010TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus of monitoring a control channel in a multiple carrier system is provided, where a user equipment monitors a plurality of candidate control channels within a control region of a subframe and receives reference control information on a reference control channel which is successfully decoded.
Abstract: A method and apparatus of monitoring a control channel in a multiple carrier system is provided. A user equipment monitors a plurality of candidate control channels within a control region of a subframe and receives reference control information on a reference control channel which is successfully decoded. The user equipment monitors the control region on a basis of the reference control information and receives link control information on a linked control channel which is successfully decoded. The link control information includes resource assignment information used to receive or transmit data packets via a plurality of component carriers.

TL;DR: Two different structures of LDPC codes in the ATSC 3.0 standard are presented: 1) irregular repeat accumulate structure and 2) multi-edge type structure.
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the overview and detailed structure of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, which are adopted for the physical layer standard of Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0. As one of the features to mitigate channel errors efficiently, LDPC codes are used as a main part of forward error correction scheme within the bit interleaved coded modulation chain. This paper presents two different structures of LDPC codes in the ATSC 3.0 standard: 1) irregular repeat accumulate structure and 2) multi-edge type structure. After the detailed encoding methods for the two structures are introduced, the performance results including comparison studies with other broadcasting standards such as DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 are shown.

25 Jan 2013TL;DR: In this article, a mobile terminal and a photo search method thereof capable of searching and displaying photos shared by the cloud and SNS systems in connection with a specific location on a camera view using augmented reality.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal and a photo search method thereof capable of searching and displaying photos shared by the cloud and SNS systems in connection with a specific location on a camera view using augmented reality. To this end, according to the present disclosure, when a photo search function is selected on an augmented reality based camera view, photo information associated with at least one location on which the focus of the camera view is placed is searched from a network system to sort and display the searched photo information on the camera view, thereby allowing the user to conveniently search photos associated with old memories.
