TL;DR: A social constructionist analysis of how sense is made of the causes of chronic pain is reported, arguing that when pain is no longer useful as a symptom, identity is challenged, weakened and at risk for both chronic pain patients and pain professionals.

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic literature review has been conducted that explores teacher innovative behavior and which factors influence this behavior or what effects can be achieved through such behavior. But, little research has been done on teachers' innovative behavior.
Abstract: Innovative behavior can be described as a process in which new ideas are generated, created, developed, applied, promoted, realized, and modified by employees to benefit role performance. Various reasons, such as rapid technological and social changes in society, underline the necessity for innovative behavior of employees and certainly of teachers. However, little research has been conducted that explores teacher innovative behavior and which factors influence this behavior or what effects can be achieved through such behavior. In this systematic literature review, we develop a preliminary model of factors that enhance innovative behavior in educational organizations. Similar to findings of studies in other human behavior fields, self-efficacy plays an important role as well as a variety of individual and environmental factors. Based on this review, we urge for more systematic research on teacher innovative behavior to enhance the future quality of education.

TL;DR: A review of trace element data in both within-plate basalts and mantle xenoliths suggests that at least two enrichment processes are active within the upper mantle as mentioned in this paper, consistent with the migration of small volume silicate melts with ‘basanitic’ trace element distribution patterns, whereas the other is characterized by relatively high eSr, Rb/Sr and K/Ti ratios.
Abstract: A review of Sr- and Nd-isotope and selected trace element data in both within-plate basalts and mantle xenoliths suggests that at least two enrichment processes are active within the upper mantle. One is consistent with the migration of small volume silicate melts with ‘basanitic’ trace element distribution patterns, whereas the other is characterized by relatively high eSr, Rb/Sr and K/Ti ratios, as observed in K-richterite-bearing periodotite xenoliths.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a quantitative analysis of the astrophysical and cosmological information that can be extracted from the many important wide-area, shallow surveys that will be carried out in the next few years.
Abstract: We present a quantitative analysis of the astrophysical and cosmological information that can be extracted from the many important wide-area, shallow surveys that will be carried out in the next few years. Our calculations combine the predictions of the physical model by Granato et al. for the formation and evolution of spheroidal galaxies with up-to-date phenomenological models for the evolution of starburst and normal late-type galaxies and of radio sources. We compute the expected number counts and the redshift distributions of these source populations separately and then focus on protospheroidal galaxies. For the latter objects, we predict the counts and redshift distributions of strongly lensed sources at 250, 350, 500 and 850 μm, the angular correlation function of sources detected in the surveys considered, and the angular power spectra due to clustering of sources below the detection limit in Herschel and Planck surveys. An optimal survey for selecting strongly lensed protospheroidal galaxies is described, and it is shown how they can be easily distinguished from the other source populations. We also discuss the detectability of the imprints of the one-halo and two-halo regimes on angular correlation functions and clustering power spectra, as well as the constraints on cosmological parameters that can be obtained from the determinations of these quantities. The novel data relevant to derive the first submillimetre estimates of the local luminosity functions of starburst and late-type galaxies, and the constraints on the properties of rare source populations, such as blazars, are also briefly described.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a scale to measure luxury brands' status and conspicuousness using the new luxury brand context as a reference point, which can be used to establish empirical evidence that allows an exploration of the relationship between status, conspicuousness as dimensions of luxury brand perception.
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to develop a scale to measure luxury brands' status and conspicuousness using the new luxury brand context as a reference point. This scale will be utilized to establish empirical evidence that allows an exploration of the relationship between status and conspicuousness as dimensions of luxury brand perception. The study used Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Attribute Rating. The data were collected from 204 consumers in France. Status and conspicuousness are revealed to constitute two different, although related, dimensions of luxury brands and should therefore be measured as distinct constructs when assessing brand luxury. Strategic marketing implications for marketing managers are identified and discussed within the context of the three product categories. This is the first empirical study to use actual consumers in order to explore the difference between status and conspicuousness in assessing luxury brands.
