TL;DR: In this article it is argued that in addition to technical issues and user centred factors especially situational aspects (e.g. location) need to be considered when designing new mobile guides.
Abstract: The adaptation of mobile services to context specific parameters provides great potential for developing enhanced and more user friendly systems. In this article we argue that in addition to technical issues (display size, bandwidth, etc.) and user centred factors (demographics, preferences, etc.) especially situational aspects (e.g. location) need to be considered when designing new mobile guides. One major situational parameter is the task which the tourist wants to accomplish in using the mobile system. This provides a range of implications for the individual usage process

TL;DR: It is indicated that specific interventions can positively influence the performance of a selected nursing care activity, for example fall prevention, and there is no evidence of a global reduction of rationed and missed nursing care through these interventions.
Abstract: Aims To collate and synthesize published research on interventions developed and tested to prevent or reduce the rates of rationed or missed nursing care in healthcare institutions. Background Rationed and missed nursing care has been widely studied, including its predictors and associations with patient and nurse outcomes. Design Scoping review. Data sources We searched for eligible studies, published between 1980-2019, in six electronic databases. Review methods Researchers independently screened the abstracts of the retrieved studies using the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The decision of whether or not to include any given study was consensus-based. Results The search yielded 1,815 records, of which 13 were included. Three studies reported structural interventions, namely increased nurse staffing and improved nursing teamwork, both resulted in significant reductions in the rates of rationed or missed nursing care. The remaining 10 studies reported on process interventions: four concerned reminders (via technology or designated persons) and seven described interventions to change or optimize the relevant care processes. All 10 process interventions contributed to significant reductions in the rates of missed nursing care. Conclusions The results of the scoping review indicate that specific interventions can positively influence the performance of a selected nursing care activity, for example fall prevention. There is no evidence of a global reduction of rationed and missed nursing care through these interventions. Impact Clinicians, managers and researchers can use the results for adapting and implementing interventions to reduce rationed and missed nursing care.

TL;DR: A growing body of research looks into business-led efforts to create social value by improving the socio-economic well-being of Base of the Pyramid (BoP) communities as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A growing body of research looks into business-led efforts to create social value by improving the socio-economic well-being of Base of the Pyramid (BoP) communities. Research shows that businesses that pursue these strategies—or BoP businesses—face distinct sets of challenges that require unique capabilities. There is, however, limited effort to synthesize current evidence on the mechanisms through which these businesses create social value. We systematically review the literature on BoP businesses, covering 110 studies published in business and management journals. We start by using bibliographic analysis to map the broad contours of the literature in terms of its common theoretical and empirical approaches, intellectual core, and evolution in time. We subsequently conduct a qualitative content analysis on the identified articles to synthesize their main findings. The analysis leads to a conceptual framework that explicates the antecedents, constraints, capabilities, and contingencies that drive social value creation. In addition to providing a rich and systematically organized account of the evidence, our analysis provides a critical reflection on the ethical dilemmas of social value creation efforts for the BoP, and outlines promising avenues for future research.

TL;DR: QoL in people with aphasia can be improved by means of biographic-narrative intervention, and a significant improvement in health-related QoL measured by the ALQI is found, which remained stable after three months without intervention.
Abstract: Background: Caused by the constraints in communication, people with aphasia experience a pronounced decrease in quality of life (QoL). Beyond that identity negotiation is hindered which is crucial for QoL. This increases the severe loss of QoL. In sociocultural theories, it is postulated that identity is created through social interaction with others. In telling life stories, people build meaning and affirm identity. Biographic-narrative approaches use such life stories to support identity (re)development after disruptive events like stroke. Specific communication skills are needed for this, i.e., biographic-narrative competency. Therefore, such approaches have to be modified for the use in people with aphasia.Aims: We target on the development and evaluation of an interdisciplinary multimodal approach of biographic-narrative work. The primary aim is to improve QoL through identity renegotiation. Methods & Procedures: Five face-to-face interviews and seven group sessions were conducted in a before and afte...
