TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of crops on the species diversity of oribatid mites in garden within the small farmer conditions was carried out in four different microhabitats - carrots, beans (broad beans), onions and tomatoes.
Abstract: Article Details: Received: 2020-03-24 | Accepted: 2020-04-03 | Available online: 2020-06-30 https://doi.org/10.15414/afz.2020.23.02.94-101 The research of the influence of crops on the species diversity of oribatid mites in garden within the small farmer conditions was carried out in four different microhabitats - carrots, beans (broad beans), onions and tomatoes. Soil samples on each crop were analysed and compared - determined the soil nutrient content and specific elements, continuously recorded the soil temperature, humidity, climate and microclimate relations were also followed within the research, as well as X-ray spectrometric analysis of the soil was done. Chemical elements have no significant impact on soil fauna. Annual average of 563 ind. per square metres and was reported in the microhabitat of beans, while 167 ind. per square metres in carrots, only. Under the broad bean, the highest abundance and species richness and highest species diversity of oribatids was confirmed and seemed to closely connect with the microclimate conditions of this crop. Tectocepheus velatus sarekensis Tragardh, 1910, Zetomimus furcatus Pearce & Warburton, 1905, Steganacarus striculus C.L.Koch, 1836 and Protoribates capucinus Berlese, 1908 seem to be tolerant oribatids, which were confirmed in every microhabitats of the garden. On the contrary, some oribatids occurred in one crop only and specify it. Differences in soil temperature and humidity under plants as well as the type of crops affected occurrence of species spectrum and their abundance. In farm garden, we found two rare species of oribatids; the second records for the fauna of Slovakia - Corynoppia kosarovi (Jeleva, 1962) and Mesoplophora pulchra Sellnick, 1928. TL;DR: The contribution of the paper is to create an online educational system tailored to translators’ needs; an online system in which students translate and revise a text, post-edit machine translation output and also assess the quality of the translation.
Abstract: Nowadays, post-editing of machine translation output represents a significant element in the translation market and industry. Subsequently, the preparation of future translators must cover not only all routine methods but must be cost-effective, efficient and in accordance with human resources available. That is the reason we use Internet-based technologies more and more. New emerging technologies are very often driven by the marketing power of companies developing and selling applications. Each of us experienced dozens of fantastic features available in teaching software and applications. The core skill of the online educator is to find a balance between our needs and ability to use technology. Since translation demand keeps growing every day, a large number of translators use various technical tools including translation memories, terminology management tools or Machine Translation (MT) technologies and thus increase their productivity and meet this high demand. The post-editing of MT should be only done by a person who is familiar with this method and knows exactly what, how and how much needs to be edited in the text. Otherwise, the sense of post-editing is losing importance, as the work of post-editor would not be more effective as a translator’s, who translates the text traditional way “from scratch”. The contribution of the paper is to create an online educational system tailored to translators’ needs; an online system in which students translate and revise a text, post-edit machine translation output and also assess the quality of the translation.

TL;DR: The authors try to assess at which extent is information useful for users of the banks that operate in countries where banking sectors are dominated by foreign-owned entities and depositors is a key source of market discipline.
Abstract: The paper analyses usefulness of the Pillar 3 financial and risk information disclosures to the commercial banks users The Pillar 3 are specific regulatory disclosures requirements set out in the Basel 2 framework and incorporated into EU law and subsequently laws of the member states According to Pillar 3 intention market participants should be able to understand and subsequently judge the relevance of the bank risk position and risk management and try to discipline “risky” banks Due to that the European authorities are focused on control and improvements of the banks’ disclosures However, less is done as far as usefulness of the Pillar 3 risk information to the commercial banks users is The authors try to assess at which extent is information useful for users of the banks that operate in countries where banking sectors are dominated by foreign-owned entities and depositors (sophisticated and non sophisticated; insured and uninsured; primarily non-financial ones) is a key source of market discipline The authors focus on modelling of visitor behaviours at website where financial and risk information according to Pillar 3 requirements is available The results show that there is in general small interest in Pillar 3 information and even financial and risk related information belongs to those where interests is the lowest one

TL;DR: The authors investigated how teachers perceive teaching pronunciation at several primary schools in Slovakia, focusing on teaching techniques and materials used for teaching pronunciation and aspects of pronunciation, and found that the most used teaching techniques are corrections, drills and songs.
Abstract: Teaching and practicing correct pronunciation is often neglected in English language lessons. The importance of correct pronunciation is unquestionable as it is a fundamental feature of successful communication. For this reason, it needs to be taught and practiced right from the beginning of English language teaching, because young learners are the best recipients and often can achieve flawless-like pronunciation. This qualitative study investigates how teachers perceive teaching pronunciation at several primary schools in Slovakia, focusing on teaching techniques and materials used for teaching pronunciation, and aspects of pronunciation. Methods for collecting research data were observation and interview. Findings show that the most used teaching techniques are corrections, drills and songs, and that the most used materials are pictures and textbook CDs. Segmental aspects were practiced when learning new words, but without any particular attention to segmenatal features and suprasegmental aspects of rhythm were practiced by rhymes, chants and songs and no attention was paid to word stress. The study indicates that teachers pay attention to teaching pronunciation, but without particular focus on different features of pronunciaton and using limited teaching techniques and materials.

TL;DR: The objective of the research is to draw attention to the possibility of using standardised terminology of the Omaha System when supporting public health in patients with Crohn's disease with nutrition problems.
Abstract: Crohn's disease is a chronic non-specific inflammatory bowel disease of any part of the digestive tract. The seriousness of the disease requires a multi-disciplinary approach when providing patients with secondary and tertiary care. Patients also have specific problems from the nursing perspective that require intervention of nurses, e.g. in the area of nutrition. The role of a nurse in a specific community lies in supporting public health in the field of prevention, health education, group educational activities and care of the acutely or chronically ill. The regulation tool of nursing practice when providing community care is the documented form of nursing data expressed by means of expert terminology. The Omaha System is a standardised terminology for multi-disciplinary teams providing community care. The objective of the research is to draw attention to the possibility of using standardised terminology of the Omaha System when supporting public health in patients with Crohn's disease with nutrition problems. The research was divided into 3 stages: in the first stage we assessed the nutrition problem in 100 patients dispensarised in gastroenterology counselling centres using a form from the Omaha System. Out of these, identified 42 patients suffered from Crohn's disease and had problems with nutrition; in the second stage we chose interventions for nutrition from the Intervention Scheme of the Omaha System: their efficiency in patients was assessed by a nurse/nutritionist in the third stage of the research when the patients came to the gastroenterology counselling centre using Problem Rating Scale for Outcomes. When comparing the initial and final nutrition assessment with socio-demographic indicators we found a statistically significant difference (p = 0.000) between the status assessment where women scored a more remarkable advance than men when comparing the initial and the final assessment. With respect to age groups, education and jobs, no statistically significant differences were found (p >0.05). Nutrition interventions, according to the Omaha System, are linked to administering enteral and parenteral nutrition, monitoring of nutrition condition and education, management and consultancy during the diet that is individual and dependent on various factors.
