TL;DR: In this article, the authors present some results of research focused on the current state of implementation of development strategies of higher order thinking in pre-gradual preparation of teacher trainees majoring in technical subjects teaching.
Abstract: Now-a-days in the professional community of teachers, broad discussions on efficiency of teaching are led. At the same time teacher trainees are more and more also involved into these discussions, a key point of which are the teachers’ skills to choose appropriate education strategies to develop students’ higher order thinking, i.e. thinking at a level that is higher than remembering, memorizing and understanding facts. These discussions follow Bloom’s taxonomy known as the taxonomy of educational objectives. A question still remains, to what extent is the theory incorporated in teacher trainee practical training and as well to what extent this theory is used and applied in the educational and teaching practice itself. The paper presents some results of research focused on the current state of implementation of development strategies of higher order thinking in pre-gradual preparation of teacher trainees majoring in technical subjects teaching.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors defined the contact area as a 600 meters wide strip extending along the borderline between settlement part and its enclosed hinterland, and classified four types of contact area: submontane forest, plane field, upland with arable crops and waved plain with settlement.
Abstract: Nitra town development tendency is tented on its hinterland at present. The research area consists of two parts. The first is the settlement part formed by city parts Zobor, Chrenova, Klokocina, Diely, Cermaň and Stare Mesto and hinterland part with villages neighbouring with town Nitra. The contact area is determined as 600 meters wide strip extending along the borderline between settlement part and its enclosed hinterland. Structure of this contact area is evaluated in two time horizons (1995 and 2010). In 2010 in the secondary landscape structure of contact area are occurrences these groups of elements: forest (16,2 %), arable crops (41,6 %), meadows and pastures (4,8 %), sub soils and raw soils (0,7 %), waters elements (1,8 %), elements of seats and recreation areas (24 %), technical elements (8,7 %), elements of transport (2,2 %).In 1995 in the secondary landscape structure of contact area are occurrences these groups of elements: forest (16 %), arable crops (47,8 %), meadows and pastures (5,9 %), sub soils and raw soils (0,8 %), waters elements (1,9 %), elements of seats and recreation areas (17,7 %), technical elements (7,5 %), elements of transport (2,4 %). Landscape structure and selected criteria are the bases for contact area classification. We distinguish 4 types of contact area: submontane forest (type A), plane field (type B), upland with arable crops (type C) and waved plain with settlement (type D). In the process of evaluation of contact area were determinate four functions (technically producing, suburban agricultural production, recreational and residential), by method of synthesis were determined three zones (technically producing, suburban agricultural production and recreational) and two potential usages (recreation and agricultural usage).

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors present a profile of a teacher in Slovakia, within which teacher's digital skills are included as a part of one of the profile's key competences, and strategies of teachers' digital competences development based on the national school policy.
Abstract: The paper presents in short philosophy on which professional profile of a teacher in Slovakia, within which teacher’s digital skills are included as a part of one of the profile’s key competences, and strategies of teachers’ digital competences development based on the national school policy. In more details, there is assessed the state of Slovak teachers’ level of digital literacy and teachers’ needs regarding their further education in the concerned area before the Corona pandemic has appeared. This assessment is done in two focuses. One of them is focus on in-service teacher population and the other one is assessment of pre-service training of teacher trainees and needs of its continuous innovation. Following the pre-Corona research findings there is a proposal of recommendations creating a basis for designing an optimal basis of pre-service teacher training on shaping teacher trainees’ professional digital literacy. However, in the last part of the paper these recommendations are re-evaluated due to the challenges related to teachers’ professional digital literacy, which have occurred under the influence of the Corona pandemic situation on all forms of education.

TL;DR: In this article, the contextual use of the term "whataboutism" in contemporary American politics, specifically in the language of political news commentary, has been analyzed and found to be part of an asymmetrical media ecosystem polarizing the American electorate, and one of the rhetorical tools systematically used in maintaining political group divisions.
Abstract: This paper is focused on the contextual use of the term “whataboutism” in contemporary American politics, specifically in the language of political news commentary. After tracking the word’s emergence in political discourse, some analysis of the term’s recent use in examples of commentary articles is done to explore what the term means as a rhetorical device that structures political conversations in the media and shapes political identities in the public sphere. Overall, “whataboutism” is found to be part of an asymmetrical media ecosystem polarizing the American electorate, and one of the rhetorical tools systematically used in maintaining political group divisions. How “whataboutism” is deployed in political discourse and then grappled with or normalized by journalists is emblematic of trends in American journalistic discourse after the election results of 2016, and the term’s newfound prevalence is illustrative of the degree to which American identities have become politically tribalized.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with the study of ceramic inventory in La Tène graves, which brings insight into the function of these grave goods not only through the assessment of the spatial relationship of pottery and human remains but also the combination of individual vessel types.
Abstract: The paper deals with the study of ceramic inventory in La Tène graves. It brings insight into the function of these grave goods not only through the assessment of the spatial relationship of pottery and human remains but also the combination of individual vessel types. Usage of microtopography method, combines the spatial and qualitative attributes of individual vessels. On the example of the cemetery in Malé Kosihy, we present the advantages and pitfalls of this method as well as possible interpretative levels. At the end of the paper, the presented procedure is confronted with other approaches to the interpretation of the function of vessels in the grave inventory.
