TL;DR: In this paper, the possibility of interactive whiteboard (IWB) implementation to the technical education support in the frames of pre-primary education is discussed, and some types of IWB, deals with problems associated with this issue and introduces teachers' competencies needed for the work with them.
Abstract: Abstract The paper deals with the possibility of interactive whiteboard (IWB) implementation to the technical education support in the frames of pre-primary education. It also presents some types of IWB, deals with problems associated with this issue and introduces teachers’ competencies needed for the work with them. The final part points out the results of the research realized in this field in the USA and in Slovakia.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of humidity on sheep wool during irradiation by an accelerated electron beam was examined, and the results showed that the sorptivity results showed considerable dependence on wool humidity under exposure.
Abstract: The effect of humidity on sheep wool during irradiation by an accelerated electron beam was examined. Each of the samples with 10%, 53%, and 97% relative humidity (RH) absorbed a dose of 0, 109, and 257 kGy, respectively. After being freely kept in common laboratory conditions, the samples were subjected to batch Co(II) sorption experiments monitored with VIS spectrometry for different lapses from electron beam exposure. Along with the sorption, FTIR spectral analysis of the wool samples was conducted for cysteic acid and cystine monoxide, and later, the examination was completed, with pH measuring 0.05 molar KCl extract from the wool samples. Besides a relationship to the absorbed dose and lapse, the sorptivity results showed considerable dependence on wool humidity under exposure. When humidity was deficient (10% RH), the sorptivity was lower due to limited transformation of cystine monoxide to cysteic acid. The wool pre-conditioned at 53% RH, which is the humidity close to common environmental conditions, demonstrated the best Co(II) sorptivity in any case. This finding enables the elimination of pre-exposure wool conditioning in practice. Under excessive humidity of 97% RH and enough high dose of 257 kGy, radiolysis of water occurred, deteriorating the sorptivity. Each wool humidity, dose, and lapse showed a particular scenario. The time and humidity variations in the sorptivity for the non-irradiated sample were a little surprising; despite the absence of electron irradiation, relevant results indicated a strong sensitivity to pre-condition humidity and lapse from the start of the monitoring.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tool for a relevant estimation of numbers of students to be accepted to study the particular study branches of vocational education in transport and transport services in Slovakia has been designed for purposes of one of the eight administrative regions of Slovakia, Bratislava self-governing region.
Abstract: Numbers of secondary vocational school graduates are not sufficient to cover employers’ demand for the shortage workforces. One of the reasons is the current disproportion between the real numbers of secondary school students and the employers’ needs. Another reason is that the study fields and the numbers of students are not planned in accordance with the needs of national or regional economy. School performance determination is a problem in which the interests of schools and public are confronted. The paper is crucially focused on design of a tool for a relevant estimation of numbers of students to be accepted to study the particular study branches of vocational education in transport and transport services. This has been done for purposes of one of the eight administrative regions of Slovakia, Bratislava self-governing region.

TL;DR: The intention and motivation to alcohol dependence treatment seem to be high at the beginning of the treatment, but recognition of the alcohol problems were low in highly dependent patients.
Abstract: Background Poland, Czech Republic, and the Slovak Republic are countries with high alcohol consumption, and alcohol-induced disorders are in the ten leading causes of Years Lost due to Disability. Therefore it is necessary to study factors as insight, motivation, and readiness to change for the better understanding the variables which are in probably connected with therapeutic effectiveness. Aim The purpose of the study was to examine the state of readiness to change at the beginning and the end of inpatient short (six weeks) and long (12 weeks) therapeutic program in the Slovak Republic, Poland, and the Czech Republic, and look for the relationship between readiness to change, insight, and motivation in alcohol-dependent persons. Methods We studied a sample of 380 alcohol-dependent inpatients (282 men and 98 women) by Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), The Stages of Change Readiness and Treatment Eagerness Scale (SOCRATES), Readiness to Change Questionnaire (RCQ), and Demographic Questionnaire. Results The unmarried patients declare a higher severity of alcohol dependence than married or divorced ones in AUDIT questionnaire. At the beginning of the treatment, the majority of patients declared Action (68.5%) or Preparation (26.3%) motivation stage according to RCQ questionnaire. At the end of the treatment, married patients showed higher readiness to change in domain Taking steps of SOCRATES questionnaire. The unmarried patients displayed the decrease of domain Ambivalence. The duration of the completed therapeutic program may not be crucial for improvement in preparedness to change. Conclusions The intention and motivation to alcohol dependence treatment seem to be high at the beginning of the treatment, but recognition of the alcohol problems were low in highly dependent patients. Marital status was connected with an increased active component for readiness to change. The passive component (decreasing the ambivalence) was observed in the unmarried patients.
