TL;DR: A set of jobs is scheduled using the SLK due-date determination method, according to which all the jobs are given the same flow allowance, and an analytical solution is given and an algorithm is presented, which provides optimal solutions.
Abstract: In this paper, a set of jobs is scheduled using the SLK due-date determination method, according to which all the jobs are given the same flow allowance. The single machine case is considered. The objective function is a cost function including three components, namely flow allowance and weighted earliness and tardiness. An analytical solution is given and an algorithm, which provides optimal solutions, is presented. Finally, the parallel machines case is discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated volatility spillover effects across agricultural input prices, agricultural output prices and retail food prices using the technique of generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedastic (GARCH) models.
Abstract: This paper investigates volatility spillover effects across agricultural input prices, agricultural output prices and retail food prices using the technique of Generalised Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedastic (GARCH) models. The empirical findings show that the volatility of both agricultural input and retail food prices exerts significant, positive spillover effects on the volatility of agricultural output prices. Moreover, the volatility of agricultural output prices has a significant, positive impact on its own volatility. Agricultural output prices are shown to be more volatile than agricultural input and retail food prices.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the behavior of the demand for money in Greece during 1976Q1 to 2000Q4, a period that witnessed many of the influences that cause money-demand instability.
Abstract: This paper examines the behaviour of the demand for money in Greece during 1976Q1 to 2000Q4, a period that witnessed many of the influences that cause money‐demand instability. Two empirical methodologies, vector error correction (VEC) modelling and second‐generation random coefficient (RC) modelling, are used to estimate the demand for money. The coefficients of both the VEC and RC procedures support the hypothesis that the demand for money becomes more responsive to both the own rate of return on money balances and the opportunity cost of holding money because of financial deregulation. In general, both procedures also support the hypothesis that the income elasticity of money demand declines over time as a result of technological improvements in the payments system and the development of money substitutes, which lead to economies of scale in holding money.
